Is there any one here, who have detailed instructions to code the following on a 6nh car with combobox present?

- Cover Art via USB-Stick
- Bluetooth Streaming A2DP
- Office (SMS, E-Mail, ....) via MAP

ykau for office, we are aware of 2 ways:

Untested/unverified:
activate MACRO_PIM in CIC

Tested working:
Remove 8LS (Singapore country controller) from VO code and code combox & CIC. While this enable office support, we do not know what else is turn on/off since there is no way to check this. So use at your own risk.

Personally, unless you're using android or blackberry phones, then do it. If you're going to use this with iPhone, save the trouble, after activating it, the features is pretty much still useless as it only show NEW message received after the phone is paired with the car, and it doesn't allow you to reply. So with iphone, it's better to use siri to read out the message and have siri does the reply as well

Tot I share previously; in your VO, remove 6NH, add 6NK. Code combox & HU_CIC, you have HU_CIC don't you? Else you'll have to wait for iilhan, he has done this, but you can help others to help you by providing what module you have in your car, as different spec require diff method to enable/change things

stuff like do you have Nav, business radio, etc?

Having combox alone is a great way to start as A2DP, cover art (via ipod) is tested & proven working

Hey, yes I have HU_CIC. I have the professional navigation (big screen) and 6nh.

So I just remove 6NH and add 6NK. This will automatically set the corresponding FDL on Combobox and HU_CUC, which just need to be coded afterwards?

Not Exactly. After you change FA (VO), you will VO Code HU_CIC and CMB_MEDIA, and it will make all the FDL Changes for you.

VO Code:

Connect => Read FA => Activate FA => Read VCM => Right-Click on ECU (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

I'll leave it to the big guys to answer you on this... Seeing that you have prof nav, you should by default have album cover art, at least for 6NK we have it

So I'm not sure why 6NH is different. For A2DP bluetooth streaming, did you enable "Audio" in your bluetooth menu - not coding related, just the default bluetooth options as well as your pair phone options. Once you enable this, you should see your bluetooth device listed as part of your "media" and selectable from there

Govt tax and greedy businessman:

1.) Car price - 100% (BMW factory)
2.) Govt tax - 200%
3.) Car population control tax (based on supply /demand) - currently US$77K
4.) Greedy businessman want to earn US$30K on each car sold



If not for the above, I'd probably be driving a M6 Grand Coupe

Similar spec 335 in US-US$55K, in SG-US$231K

200% Sales Tax + $77k Car Population Control Tax? WTF! And the Dutch think they have it awful with a 40% Sales Tax. The U.S. would never stand for this sort of Tax. People would take up arms. Ever consider moving?

Hi kon, is an trial and error process. Just realized is not necessary. Strange my bluetooth screen does not have the "office" checkbox. Do our F30 comes with 6NR combo box or rather my 320I comes with it? thanks

specific to your ride, if you have nav, you will have combox, but none of us have 6NR (aka BMW Apps). You want BMW Apps you will have to pay for FSC code

How long does it take to save the data? Fdl changes took about few sec till 1 min aprox.
I am afraid to break sth. Do you think its simple and I can easy go back if it fails?

VO coding is coding all the relevant FDL at the different control box (combox & CIC) all at one go. A couple of mins is all you need, but all your previous coding history is wipe out as VO coding restore everything to factory condition based on the options FA/VO that is in the car.

If you made the changes, don't like, well, go back to FA & remove 6NK, and put back 6NH and recode again, but again, it will wipe whatever you coded previously (coz it will restate everything back to factory condition)

I bought mine 320I for $USD166 while in US with full spec selling at $USD42..

You can imagine how shaky our hand is when doing coding..lol..

Our island soon will have 50:50 population. half Singapore and half foreigner.. Moving out will be coming 2nd class citizen and not to mention some places are racist.

Noticed two things have happened after i have turned on MACRO_PIM. I will still need to perform a thorough check

1. BMW_LIVE is not working
2. Office menu appeared

This is what I am going to do, to activate bluetooth streaming and cover art. Can someone check if it is right?

Expert Mode -> Coding -> Read FA -> Calculate FP -> SALAPA-element -> Delete 6NH -> Add 6NK -> Calculate FP again -> Save new FA -> Expert Mode -> VCM -> Load saved FA file -> Calculate FP again -> VCM Master -> Write FA FP -> Read FA FP VIN to verfiy that changes are saved

Kon, how do you do this? Can you set up all of your changes at your desk, then just plug it into the car and press "Activate FA" and then "Code FDL" and be done?

Read fa> read vcm > right click the top of the ecu/svt and select read coding data. All caf file will be written to your esysdata/caf folder. You can use fdl editor to open these later

Unfortunately I haven't tried pushing saved files to the car later, maybe Shawn or anyone else who have successfully did this can chip in. Logically, every time u read coding data new caf file is written. If you can somehow overwrite this file after its read, then code. It should work
