Very much so. Ever since it came on line in the 1970s, Rosslyn has been a consistent winner in the quality stakes for BMW, having won best production factory for the group many times over the decades.

Cars in the U.S. have a different label, and the label does not indicate made in Germany or SA on either or anywhere for that matter. The labels just say manufactured by BMW. Only the VIN identifies the plant.

FYI, I have a June 2012 SA build with VSS and my knock is very evident and annoying. I haven't had the dealer look at it yet, but will soon.
