Will stock tires last.. - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Im wondering if the stock run flats will last 36k and have enough thread for lease turn in. Tirerack is having a 70 dollar rebate on Pilot Super Sport and im about to order some and store the run flats away. But i got to thinking maybe i wont need another set of tires. Who has the most miles and how are the staggered setup wearing thanks

These are a new gen of run flats which ride better, but I very much doubt that you are going to see anywhere near 36k miles unless you really baby them and get a little lucky. I have had people tell to expect a huge noise increase at 8-10k and that the tires will need to be replaced every 2 years. I am currently running 2 sets and I expect to have to replace the summer PZeros sooner than the winter all season set up I chose. These are simply not cheap cars to maintain. I have 3k on each so we shall see. Will go back to the summers end of march with probably 4-4.5k on the P7s

The eco tires are probably a very hard compound to keep rolling resistance as low as possible. I wouldn't be surprised to get 36k out of them

I have the Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT and i dont drive it easy lol. So i gues i'll order the Pilot super sports.

Previous BMW had run-flats and the rears lasted like 18k or so and they were pretty darn balded.

All seasons, about 30k.
