Thank you. That's what I meant. I'm going to ask if they replaced it too. They probably didn't but I'll ask.

I really hope the M performance Power kit comes out in March cuz the wait is agonizing. I could use a few extra ponies.

When my car had the issue they scanned it and just tweaked the fan. Iono how but the car did run a bit better. I'm still going to bring my car in to fix all the other problems before spring.

Same boat as you. Once the car is fixed of course. I just hope the PPK isn't a letdown lol.

that explains it...stock I have no issues, so this fan/limp mode is probably impacting your stock impressions.

Sorry guys but BMW has removed all informations and links to the new PPK that should be released in March 2013. Seems they are having some technical problems (in cause of the gurarantee!) and that the PPK will release later or never. I will ask BMW in Munich next week again...

Not sure if anyone ever answered this correctly or not. I only read the first few and the last few pages of the thread, but BMW refers to engine air filters as intake silencers. So what they mean in this instance is with the PPK you will get a performance air filter, kind of like a K&N drop in filter. That's all it is, the filter.

With all the M Peformance electric fan issues, I think it's being held up...

I'm assuming June like my dealer told me late last year.

I wouldn't rely on UK pricing as a guide.

Our BMW's don't cost us $60k for a 328i (while in UK it's like 30k Pounds)...

It'll be cost adjusted I"m sure of it...

Thats good if its April. Kinda leaning towards a "real" tune. Hopefully Cobb or Procede release a tune soon. If not then JB4 or w/e for sure.
