We'll be doing another LA area F30 coding meet on Sunday, February 17th, 2013 around 10:00.

The coding meet will be held here:

This is in the Best Buy parking lot off of Jamboree and El Camino Real. There's lots of space and it wasn't busy at all last time we did it there.

Also, anybody figure out how to keep 'RANDOM' on when playing music and start the car in 'SPORTS' mode?

Unfortunately, no to both.

Random is remembered when playing from USB sticks, but not from stuff loaded on the HDD.

Defaulting to Sports mode is the holy grail of coding, but no luck yet.

OC is a stretch for me as it is, as I live in Ventura County. Lets see how many people are interested.

I have a new 2013, and wanted to know how I check the firmware version on the car to see if we can code it. Do you know where to look it up?

I'm not too familiar with "coding." What can you do with it? Who will be doing the coding? Will it cost money?

Is it possible to allow DVD video playback while driving?

You do the coding; I provide the cable and laptop and show you how to do it.

I do this for the community and don't charge anything as you do the work.

The coding sessions end up also turning into a fun meet for people to compare cars and modifications.

I would love to do another OC meet up! I am flying back into SNA around 11am though so by the time I got up there it might be too late...I'll keep an eye on this thread to see what the final consensus is though...

You know, there's a target next to Brea Mall that has a nice indoor parking garage. That target is only about a year and a half old so everything looks really new. Maybe consider that location also?

I don't know the area either, we'll have to look around.
