My car completed manufacturing yesterday. I', about 5 weeks behind you, unfortunately. Tucson BMW. Who's your CA?

Why the interest in Swift Ace then?

An "M" huh...... that's a beauty! Good luck with it.

Mine was a dealer car, not ordered for any one, but bound for some other dealership in the West. Meredith found it on the boat when it was in the English Channel. She got it from the other dealer. Guess they do they all the time.

Just practicing following the ships. Just trying to fill the time till the Bimmer is here. Saw that you were in Tucson so I thought I would say hi.

Thanks - of course I am anxious to receive it and drive it. They got the allocation that was used for my car from another dealer - but since I wanted an MT there was no product in the shipping channels. I had to wait for a custom order. But I am getting exactly what I wanted.

You will never regret getting exactly what you wanted....
I had to "settle" for the seat warmer and paddle shifters that I didn't have to have.... but that's ok.....not a lot of need for seat warmers in Tucson, until the recent cold snap...ha
Previous car was a Porsche Cayman with paddle shifters/5 speed AT, so I'm ok with the extra shifters pkg I had to accept.
Are "M's" made in Germany? Think my car was made in South Africa.

As far as following ships....Swifty Ace took like 5 extra days to cross to Atlantic...don't know why...weather?...drives you crazy until you can see it appear on the tracker web site again. But, it picked up a day going thru the Panama Canal.

I did enjoy seat heat a couple of weeks ago but passed on it for my car. I've lived without it for 50 years, so figured I could again. Now VENTILATED seats, that might have been a deal.....

My car was mfg in Munich. Hopefully it picks up a ship soon. The next W-W ship is on 9 Feb (Tombarra). But there are lots of Mitsui OK options before the Tombarra. So we shall see.

P/u tomorrow as scheduled. That means, arrived at Oxnard Port Wed 23rd, at dealer Sun(?) 27th.

With this new cold spell, I'll actually get to try the seat warmers I didn't need!

NYK lines picked up my car while I wasn't watching - The "Gentle Leader" departed Bremerhaven on 1 Feb. Due Port Hueneme 27 Feb. The NYK website was not helpful. They didn't even report that the ship was scheduled. But Hey, it's cool. It left 8 days before I thought it would so I am very happy 'bout that!

I am a grown ass man, watching a virtual ship steam across my computer screen at 8.9 knots to finish the last 19 nautical miles of her journey from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme, with anticipation building.

The ship docks in Port Hueneme in a little under two hours from now. I plan to watch her dock then have a nice stiff scotch.
