Hey all,
I've noticed a lot of 328 peeps with H&R sports or super sports, and just wanted to hear from 335 people with em.

I know weight difference btwn the cars is only about 100 lbs but just wanted to hear specifically from any 335ers to see how you like em.

Hoping for honest opinions on bouncy ness etc, ride stiffness. Im considering these for my Msport 335 on order, but concerned about bouncyness and how it matches with the stock dampers.

Also where'd ya get from? Tire Rack doesn't list suspension mods as an option yet for the F30. They are pretty 'conservative' when it comes to 'allowing' things to put on certain cars, so also curious as to where those who have em got em.

This is the best place I have seen so far. These will give you a nice drop and from what I have noticed, there is really no difference other than a better handling car. Especially in the turns!!

H&R reports that sport springs are compatible with stock shocks but that super sports are not.

I have Super Sports on my stock shocks and no issue's at all. They are not bouncy at all at times it will bounce but its not bad at all and the car looks awesome. Wish the front was maybe 1/2" lower.

I ordered mine under a 2012 on tirerack sport model if it matters. 261 shipped.

Its funny, when i go to Tire Rack and punch in Msport, nothing comes up, but sport line, i get all the options...Tire Rack must think the Msports have M Adaptive standard or something, thus not 'allowing' any suspension options.

at any rate, it only shows H&R street coilover (in development) then KWs v1-3 , but no H&R sports or super sports.

about 300 miles on the springs, Took it up to 130+ feels perfectly fine.

Search for 2012 at 13. Its still a F30 and nothing has changed

im still on the fence... "They are not bouncy at all,... at times it will bounce but its not bad " to me isn't enough of a sell. to me it shouldn't bounce at all, i don't care how cool it looks. Be interested to hear some more thoughts ...anyone regret (specifically 335 guys) installing these springs??

I'm a 335i w/ H&R super sports on order. Under what I read the stock shocks should be fine and the ride quality doesn't change much from the m-sport suspension.

He specifically said super sport springs. sport springs are only an inch drop, super is 2.5+. Thats why he bounces. With sport springs you won't bounce and the shocks will be fine. There is a reason that H&R recommends, not what any individual did, they recommend changing dampeners and shocks when you go with a super sport spring set up. They however do not recommend this for sport springs.

Its not a 2.5 inch drop w/ the super sport springs.

I'm just seeing if anyone put them on and regretted them that's all, not bashing the product.

I am not surprised if H&R says the sports are fine, they are a good company. But normally the rule of thumb is to match springs with dampers., so I'm just seeing if anyone out there actually regretted doing this. If not, great, but thought I'd check.

I think on bimmerfest at least one or two guys regretted it on 335s (not so much 328s). Without question the consensus is that it's great....

Actually good point Dinh335, most people with the H&R super sports or just the regular sports are 328is. Is there a reason for this? I thought the m-sport of both models have the same OEM springs? If thats true then the H&R ones shouldn't impact the models as much.

Msports/sports of both models have the same springs, but the 335 weighs a bit more, so if there are issues matching the h&rs with stock dampers, i think their is a higher chance of it happening on a 335.

i haven't read any 'horror' stories so just making sure there aren't any out there. I only found one member on bimmerfest who said he couldn't stand the h&Rsports on a 335. Im wondering if there are more out there...

nah, not harsh at all. but to use your point, to me google search is just as annoying as every site says something like "perfectly matched for your f30" lol...

I know if i bought something and I didn't like it, i'd want to share my opinions, so just wondering if there's another side to the story on this one. Doesn't seem like it, so that's good, but you never know.

not trying to start a huge debate either. Im my past car's i've made some mod mistakes as it's part of modding..so looking for those people if they exist and see if their situation applies to mine.

I have a 335i. I tried the H&R Sport Springs. It is bouncy. Those that say the ride quality is fine is based on their tolerance of what is acceptable. The FACT is the ride does suffer. If you go on a road where the grooves are even dips, you will notice an insane oscillation in the bounce. Also on dips and bumps, you will notice that you will bottom out the shock. You will not notice these symptoms as much on a 328i because of the lighter engine but it will sit higher in the front.

The importance of matching dampers with springs is so vital to getting the most out of your suspension. Unfortunately there is no perfect solution for the F30 just yet. I have tried the H&R Sports, KW V2, and CKS coilovers on my 335i. Yes, I am very critical of suspension mods.

Save for the M Sport Suspension....a good compromise IMO.

Thanks- this is good feedback...you sound like you are probably a pinch more critical on suspension mods than me, but not much more... I def have a pretty low tolerance of acceptable bounce ...

Shivaswrarth, im toying with the Mperformance kit as u know, but coming from an Msport suspension already, I'm wondering if it's worth the 3K install/parts.
