Ok that new Ford...has that Astin look!
So is it me or does Ford need to be paying a little bit of cash to the Astin Martin company for blatantly copying their look?
But hey it looks freaking GREAT! |

What Ford are you talking about? Mustang? Fusion? All in general?

I can honestly say the new Ford Fusion has a flawless design.
I never thought I'd say this but I really like the new Ford Fusion A LOT. I wouldn't know it was a Ford if I didn't see the badge. |

Both Focus and Fusion are pretty damn good cars. Kudos to Ford.

I have often wondered if the new Ford design was borrowed from Aston, or if Aston actually got the ideas from seeing ford concept rendorings within Ford. Then Ford has adopted the look.
Seems like I saw renderings from Ford back in early 90's for the mustang that had the Aston front end look.

in pictures you do see similarites. However, in person they look nothing alike. The fit/finish/tolerance between panels are night and day apart. It's like saying another girl who is white and has brown hair looks like Angelina Jolie.

Yea when I saw it in person, it doesn't look as cool. The front grill is too high I think.

It was already said, but it's also only a quarter of the cost, so of course it's not going to be at the same level, but I've already gotten more compliments from strangers in one month than I ever did with my BMW (and yes, one guy said it looks like an Aston Martin). |

Im debating between the escape and the BMW x1 right now actually. Either more performance or more utility. I haven't test drove the escape though, so if it feels kind of sporty, im sold

Hey who knows maybe Ford taking a design jump will cause Honda to build cars that look more aggressive and more interesting?
But I have to say the two I’ve seen in parking lots, they look very very very good. Yah it’s not DB-8 and I don’t think James Bond will be jumping out of one any time soon…but you know what…it looks good! And you have to pat the Ford Engineers on the back for taking this jump. May they continue to keep improving their products and keep the looks sharp and young. |
