Torque Pro App

Is anyone using this on their F30? I had it on a previous car and it was pretty cool. I first bought it to clear the CEL that would come on every once and a while from the cat delete but then started using it for other stuff once I learned what it could do.

I'm mostly curious if the code clearing function is the same as BMS's CAN tool. Does anyone know if the code clearing on the Torque app would clear 'hidden' codes resulting from something like the JB Stage 1 piggy back?

Sorry, got to hit you with the ------>

It's the Torque Pro App. Not sure about iOS but I would guess it is? You can googe it.

Don't think this app will work if your running JB4 in the car.
Sweet though.

I do use it with my JB4. Only problem is the boost readout isn't accurate b/c it gets it from the DME which is fooled by the JB. But code clearing, logging and a bunch of other features work great still.

Did not know about something like this. Can BMW deny any sort of warranty work if they come to know you plugged in an obd ii scanner into the port?

Lol, why on earth would plugging in a data logger void your warranty. I understand all the warranty worriers coming out of the woodwork for chips and suspension mods, but an android app?!?

I used this app on my GTI and it worked great. Didn't track that many parameters though. I suspect it will read a lot more on our cars. It does reset codes, but I have no idea about "hidden tuner codes".

Because I'm not sure if this tool is a read-only tool. Can this not be used to write into the car? Such as clearing codes?

Deleting codes on your car doesn't affect warranty. You're allowed to do your own work on the car/ have an Indy shop work on it without affecting the warranty. Nothing you do to your car can blanket void anything. The burden of proof is on BMW to explain why clearing a code on your car with a widely used obdII reader caused your adaptive suspension to fail. There's also absolutely no way they would ever know. You pull the obd II dongle out when you're not using it and that's it. Unless you walked in and told them they would have no clue.

I don't need it but I think I will try it out..just for kicks !! unfortunately it does not look that torque pro is available for iOS, though there are a few other similar apps, not sure if they are as good as torque pro.

Which OBD ii bluetooth adapter are you using?
