2012 Essen Show BMW Display Walkthrough with F31 and F11 M Performance Parts Debut

The 2012 Essen Motor Show is underway and BMW has trotted out many of its models showcasing BMW M Performance Parts. Of particular note is the debut of the F31 3 Series Touring with M Performance Parts.

The F31 and F11 generally share the M Performance Parts from the sedan versions [recent F30 gallery] - including black kidney grilles, front bumper splitters (carbon fiber for the F11), carbon fiber mirror caps, rear diffuser, side skirt trim, M Performance brakes, M Performance exhaust system [recent sample video] and 20" wheels (different styles for the F31 and F11). The F31 also features side body pinstripes.

We'll have photos from the event soon, but for now have a look at this walk-through video of BMW's section.

This all looks pretty tacky - inspired by schnitzer?? The f31 m sport looks better left stock IMHO

I disagree and think the exterior mods look pretty sharp. Not too sure about the stickers on the side though. The interior bits probably cross the line for me, they're different but not necessarily better imo.

I have official catalogue and european pricings documents in german from bmw.de so maybe I can translate some info you want to know.

The diffuser is the same as the one for the f30.

I read someplace that the roof/rear spoiler is a prototype, and not yet released.
