No one else had their's replaced yet? One annoying thing is I had to reset all of my seating memory positions...minor issue to have a rust free car, lol!

Very nice shivaswrath, looks good as new! I don't even have an ETA for my kit yet. I just know that it's coming sooner or later. Does this kit also fix the hinges between the seat back and bottom? Did you notice any scratches in the leather after the replacement?

They did an excellent job with the replacement, no scratches anywhere in the car. It took 2 days, so be prepared for that.

No rust on the hinges or anything...

I have just a few small rust spots and might try the brush on gel. It's desert dry where we live in S. Cal, so rust is not usually an issue.

i'm really starting to get annoyed. My service advisor told me he would have an answer in a couple of days. It has now been 4 weeks. I called BMWNA and they are supposed to follow up and call me back, nothing yet! Then I get a phone call from the service dept at my dealership wanting me to drop the car off. I ask why. She said so they can look at the seats. I told her they have tons of pics already and there is no reason for me to bring the car in or drop it off until they have the parts. She was clueless.

I dropped by the dealer and showed them the rust. Then they took a look at a newly arrived car to compare and it had even more rust. They had no idea. That told me to come back in feb when the factory rep returns.

What a shameful mistake by BMW for this whole rusty seat issue.
