1. Is this the axle back muffler only? 2. Where did you get it? 3. Price? 4. Any other engine mods; intake, tune, etc.? Thanks!

WIth the downpipe, the exhaust it not too loud ONLY when accelerating in Neutral... but when you're driving it's VERY annoying, and for me, impossible to drive... unless you put some resonators (maybe 3, or more, LOL)....
In the city, between 2k and 3,5K RPM's it's terrible, and in 20 minutes I got back to the dealer and took it off. Now I'm just with the downpipe and the valve opened. |

You purchased the AFE catback or the M Performance axle back? If you purchased the AFE, I have seen some pictures and they use a very small muffler. Have you compared your car against another 328i? How about we compare? Mine is completely stock (engine) I am very curious to put it side to side and do a friendly comparison
If you end up selling the exhaust (M Performance), I might be interested, so let me know.Last edited by BRN20; 01-16-2013 at 11:59 AM. |

TJ30 and MCD. I live in SP as well and my car is stock - for now. I have just unpacked my AFE kit (downpipe, AIS and tune). What if we arrange a chance meeting this week (thursday is perfect)?

Thanks for the pics, glad this thing is finally out. Cannot go wrong with an OEM performance part, it's certain to subtle enough for the average driver but more aggressive than the stock system.

Hey Pommes, thatīs M not the Perfromance exhaust for the 328i thats for sure. The pipes are too fat, I commented on your videos in the other thread but I canīt find those posts. The real OEM pipes are THIN and not what u have there, and whats with the single pipe on the exhaust? Is this a modified 320i/d catback where they just welded some pipes on to it or what?
