12/26/12 early AM: Vessel is moored at Port of Baltimore
12/27/12: Discharged from vessel; designated for transporter
12/29/12: Car arrived late afternoon at dealer in Ohio
12/31/12: Car picked up!

Amazingly fast turn around, about 4 weeks and a few days from order to delivery. Happy to have joined the BMW family!

Hi,
Is the phone or website updating for you? We have similar build dates but I am stuck in waiting at port of exit for a shipping vessel for 3 weeks now. My dealer is useless in giving me additional info. Thx.

Both have been updating for me. Since the car has been on the vessel, I stopped calling the 800 number, and have just been tracking the ship.

Is your car a German or SA build?

Im guessing Germany. I'm not sure what the qualifiers are but I live in NJ and my last e92 came from Bremerhaven. Hopefully I'm n the boat tomorrow.

1/11 - Turandot got to Port in Jersey City
1/14 - cleared customs
1/17 - at dealership

I just got word this morning that my 328xi made it on the Tonsberg and left port yesterday, that was after 3 weeks of waiting after production.

That is amazingly quick! I'm hoping my transport time from Baltimore to Cedar Rapids Iowa is only 1 day longer than your experience.

How do you like your car so far?

My order is close to yours but went with Imperial Blue Metallic and black leather.

Yeah, I'm still impressed with how fast it came. My CA and the sales manager were both stunned, I think it arrived even quicker than they had expected. Guess I got lucky and timed everything right..

Love the car-- though admittedly I've been babying it and breaking it in slowly. I'll save some more fun for when the weather warms up and the car is more broken in. No regrets so far. The build quality is good (no rattles yet), no problems thus far-- just lots of technology for me to learn, which is a good thing.

What else did you order on your car?

I also got the tech package (HUD!) and cold weather package- can't go without that in the upper Midwest!
