Just revealed 2014 Lexus IS F-Sport Compared to BMW F30 3 Series M Sport - Page 6 - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

I think a proctologist might like this car! That front end is just so overdone. Lexus was really trying to hard to make a statement. The Japanese car companies have done this over and over again. Are there any really classic Japanese designs out there. I like the Datsun 240Z and the Nissan 300ZX 1990 - 96 and that's it. Think of all the ugly Supras, MR2s, Mitsubishi 3000 GTs, Acura TLs etc etc out there. Would you want to own any of them when the new wears off?

I do like the interior design and the side lines of the car look fine. But that front end just makes me hurl. I will still like my m sport 5 years from now! Good design lasts and becomes classic.

While on the ugly side, at least Toyota/Lexus had the balls to try/design something different, be it a fail. Current F10 fat and boring, F30 chubby and not much to set it apart from F10 or even E90.

Most on here dislike the car. No problem, I get it. But when you look in details, there is so much work done, the result is just amazing. I reminds me the BMW i8, something unusual. F30 looks best in class, but not special. As I said this car will stand out.

One thing ALL F20, F30 and F10 owners must be jealous of it the hood shut line. How is it Lexus can make the shut line join the grill, but BMW has to cut above?

By the way, really surprised how this new IS ended in the few hours of reveal on Bimmerpost Homepage. Clearly the 3 Series toughest rival.

LOVE the interior. LFA gauges + center console layout.

Exterior... Well lets just say the predator grill doesn't do it for me.

BMW, with the new f30 + f10 is actually getting "softer" and more towards the traditional lexus comfort over handling.

Only the new comparison drives will tell the full story.

. The F letter does not have much history or appeal though...

That is an ignorant comment. You know who is behind the new Lexus grill? The Audi designer who first introduced and gave Audi a new image with the single-frame. He left Aufi back then, because he got bored, Audi did not give him enough freedom in design. Lexus was just looking to renew its image, and he stepped in there, and gave Lexus their new image.

Not much of a comparison in my opinion I always was a Lexus fan but they tried too hard to make it look aggressive and ended up making it just ugly. F30 has the classy yet aggressive look!
