2013 vs 2012 Spec - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and have just joined the dark side after owning an Audi A5 Quattro TFSi for the past 4 years...

I have a billion other questions -but for now now I was wondering if any of you know what (if any) changes have been made to the 2013 spec F30. My 330d M Sport arrives beginning of March.

Specifically I am wondering:

Are the tail-lights full LED - i.e brakes and rear lights
Has a cradle been produced for the Iphone 5
Any other tweaks to the 2013 (UK) spec?

Brake lights are partially LED..turning signal lights are not which is an abomination considering what this car is (even late model e46s have LED turning signals). Also no ip5 cradle/adapter until late march as stated by some members.

Wow, surprised to hear about the LED thing - I heard that may have been a 2013 update... i guess not!

re LEDs, that'l be so BMW can introduce them later as an improvement (may be LCI?!)

The brake/turning lights are not LED. It's the rear "light tubes" that are LED lit, i.e. when your lights are on.

Which just means folding rear seats

They also included power front seats and floor mats along with the folding rear seats. I know a few other things are new for 2013, but I can't name them all off the top of my head.

Agreed, this is the dark side and I am also Someone that traded four rings for doing four rings around my old car haha... I think the nav got an update and I believe 2014 will be full led lights... Stupid that I pay 55k for a car and its tail lights are older looking than a vw...

I even decided to go storm trooper with this car haha(ap white with black accents)

Ok, so to clarify

Folding rear seats (I paid extra for these!)
No full LED upgrade as far as anyone is aware
iPhone 5 cradle in March

Anything else?

The option you would have paid for is split-folding seats.

Are folding seats definitely going to be standard in a UK-spec 2013 build F30?

The standard rear seats in a 2012 build are fixed...I assumed that, if anything BMW would make the back seat folding (in its entirety) and keep the split-folding as an option?

Don't know about UK, here in the states 40/20/40 seats are now standard on 2013

No, they are not standard in the UK. They are a £320 option as the BMW UK website shows. The only change for Jan 2013 pricing is that DAB is now standard.

You won't have to pay for DAB if your car isn't coming until March. Have a word with your dealer. They can't leave that as a cost charge on the invoice.
