does anyone know what's the use of "Show pictures" in the bluetooth menu used for? it shows up right after i turn off country control (to get office)
update: answered my own questions, found this documented in the owners manual, to display contact pictures, just need to figure out how to use this (as if I needs it!) LOL! |

U can hide the display by closing the ashtray lid. It's too much work to retrofit oem TMPS, if at all possible. |

I coded this today (it was a snap to do). Just for people who try this themselves: in my car, it wiped the date, time and timezone and issued the check control message, "Set date/time." This along with the "poor man's M performance pack" (KOMBI==>3000==>BMW_LOGO) just made my day.

Good to know. It's similar to the response you get when you code FEM_BODY. That generates an error about the adaptive lights. It freaked me out the first time -- even though the cheat sheet notes it.

That only shows up when the car is coded for Internet over Bluetooth.

![]() Edit, I also noticed the clock synchronization by GPS, what does this do? Keep track of the correct time and adjust if necessary?

I was actually trying to update my own cheat sheet, so I was skimming through the pages (am currently at page 41 lol) and added the stuff listed in it to the cheat sheet I listed on here before. I'll add what I have so far as attachment, will continue at a later point I guess ![]()

GPS clock, yes, it does sync & correct accordingly, but the time difference should be just a couple of mins, i set it to 10 mins difference earlier hoping it would auto-correct but it won't... but right now, it is sync 99.9% with my iphone which sync with apple time server ![]() |

Just wanted to continue our discussion with Asian language enabling: Just saw this in CIC code today: LANGUAGE_UPDATE Kommentar=Kern Britta, EI-40 steuert, ob neue Sprachen nachträglich hinzugefügt werden können nicht_aktiv Google translate: controls whether new languages can be added later not sure if this might work, but even if we do enable this, at best it prep the system to receive font, we still need to find how to import the asian font in? |

While helping a friend to code his car, I notice in FA editor that there's a section for "Aftermarket_Fitment", it sems the option code listed (per the image) - OMSA & SPBR were listed under HO-Wort and not SALAPA-Element, I tried manually adding it (for the fun of it to my own vehicle FA), and it works (the options were listed after recalculating FA)
Wondering is this something that we could code ourselves? Or do we need ISTA/P for this? I remember retrofitting M-performance brake require ISTA/P coding, just surprised we could see this item listed in E-Sys as well. The OMSA is meant for ASS last memory coded by the dealer |

Usually E Words are battery related, and K Words are for official BMW Retrofits. So what you have there is W-Wort: A090 - Batterysize 90AH AGM EZSF - Deletion of Pull Sensor Function LEDE - Leather Trim HO-Wort: OMSA - Without Engine Start & Stop SPBR - Sport Brake
