Well, that I don't know. Do you have the BMW Y-Cable that you can try, and see if it works with it?

i have the bmw Y cable, everything fine, with musik, playlists... but without cover.

So I have a Canadian 335i with standard Bluetooth (6NH) and Navi (609 Nav Pro)

Do I understand correctly that it means I have the combox hardware necessary and can get white apple cable, cover art over USB key, and advanced Bluetooth to work through coding alone?

Let's see what dos1973 finds, but I'd bet that it won't work without the enhanced combox. With all of the configuration variations plus the new NBT hardware, it's hard to know anything for sure anymore.

HU_ENTRY just means radio professional (i.e. no nav), HU_CICHB means option 609 is present. It has nothing to do with combox.

For F30 the BT function is built into the headunit if 6NH is present. Without 6NK/NL it still won't offer the functionality of a combox.

From the VIN u gave me it seems ur car is still on CIC & not NBT (i.e. Oct 2012 production).
6NH meaning u don't have combox.
Wht surprises me is that u need a Y-cable cos I think the white usb cable should work. Album art is another matter cos u probably don't have the required hardware.

Yes, i need the y-cable, using the standard white apple, i get the message- not connected

I was able to code the album cover on usb stick... It seems it looks like the hardware support this feature
The hardware also support BT Musik, succesfully coded
The hardware support also 2nd haandsfree phone... , succesfully coded

All feature what is described with the enhanced BT... Only the apple cable dont work. I think the hardware is the same, maybe i need an other USB Port? Or i miss one cable from USB to combox?

Well, he has 6NH in his VO, and he has Combox in his SVT with CAFD_000005B6_004_002_010 that he has coded to get USB Album Art, Secondary Handsfree Phone, and A2DP BT Audio Streaming. So, it sure seems like it to me that he has 6NH and Combox.
