Cracked side mirror..?

My drivers side mirror has cracked. Anyone else seen this problem? I have never hit the mirror and i fold it in every time its parked..

Think warranty may cover it?

That sure looks like it has been hit by something, I dont think warranty will cover that.

Looks like some jackass might have clipped you, Or something fell on it. I would take it in and see what the dealer says, You never know if you dont try

BMW has been having issues with the glossy black pieces on the side peeling and cracking like this. My b pillar trim on both sides did this and my dealership replaced both for me under warranty.

Looks like it might have been overtorqued. That's right in the vicinity of the upper mounting stud.

OP, who do you let wash your car? Almost looks like a rag got caught behind the trim and they pulled too hard.

There's a tiny piece of plastic missing about 1/4" higher than the crack line and this indicates some sort of pressure/impact.

The dealer uses a car wash when i take it in for service. I usually hand wash.
