There is no way to know which version of ISTA/P is being used by Production Week at the factory. Cars with HU_NBT will be no different than cars with HU_CIC. You will need PSdZData version >= to that which was used to program the car.

Demge01 from UK has only got 6NH. He's managed to get Live working by doing this: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=625
Voice should be there as long as a combox is fitted. I saw it from some technical materials.
I think BT data transfer is the most interesting for us cos it's a prerequisite for Live to work.

I checked everything demge had too, did he have voice? I didnt know.

OK guys here's a few mods I've found and tested all working:


Sport +
ICM Module:
IcmKod_B_Sportlenkung (switch to verbaut)
You will get an error message for the tyre pressure monitor and DSC after coding but its easily cleared by shutting off the car and restarting. Reset your TPM. Works fine.
This is actually switching on the sport steering however I doubt we get this without hardware (although i was sure the steering felt different) but the Sport+ is the bonus.


Default start in Comfort rather than Eco (Efficientdynamics models only)
ICM Module:
IcmKod_B_InitEco (switch to nicht verbaut)
Your car will always now start in Comfort.

Inner rear DRLs for later cars:
Follow the instructions on Svache's cheat sheet and in addition to this:
MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_6_PWM_LEVEL_1 (change to werte 64) (100%)
MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_7_PWM_LEVEL_1 (change to werte 64) (100%)
These are actually the standard settings for earlier cars. The value will change to "unknown" for newer cars (or those who have had the update like me) but it is correct and works fine.

Hey guys, just getting started - Got my F30 today, and I'm starting coding

Got to the point where I'm reading the CAFD's "read coding data" but only a few of the CAFD's will read - most of them throw an error

File for "cafd_xxxxxxxx-xxx_xxx_xxx" not found! [C012]

I'm sure it's answered in this forum somewhere, but I can't search for sh!t

Thinking I just don't have the most current psdz?

I coded my car yesterday. It has just been updated by dealer.
So, rear inner DRL are

and

To get BMW Live & Internet, I only change one option (only Internet came option, 6NK, with the car, and the menu shows BMW Services instead of ConnectedDrive):

HU_CIC > 3003 TELEFON_TELEMATIK_ONLINE > ONLINE_BROWSER > beide_aktiv Werte (03)
Other selectable options: -
nur_bmw_online_aktiv BMW Online/Live only
nicht_aktiv All deactivated
nur_bmw_internet_aktiv Internet only

After coding, both Online & Internet will not work, error something along the line of service not reachable... leave it alone for a night, and next morning (or a couple of hours later) voila! Interestingly my ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE remains as nicht_aktiv

Will need to register with email address (after selecting region), will work nonetheless, but couldn't get the full feature out as unable to get a BMW Online account with BMW UK/USA

To change BMW Services menu to ConnectedDrive, change:
HU_CIC > 3000 HMI > CONNECTED_DRIVE > aktiv

I've read/downloaded all the CAFD file from the car, so I can easily read out any other settings you want

So does this make the car default to Sport + mode? I want the sport steering but rather have the DSC stay on. I can get the same thing by turning off DSC (press & hold for 5+ secs). I don't have a performance switch in my 2012 X3 but still changes steering feel when I turn off DSC. Please confirm exactly what this code does. Thanks!

It enables selection of Sport + for those who don't have it.
Default setting is unaffected.

So since I don't have switch, I still won't be able to select it Well, I can by disabling DSC. My goal is to find the code to only stiffen the steering (default sport).
