My attempt at replicating the m perf front splitter look with plasti dip

I think it gives a similar look without the clearance issue the actual splitter would give me in the city.

Well, it is cheap. 550$ cheaper than the real thing to be exact however those carbon fiber black n grey emblems were not cheap

I'm glad you did this. I was thinking about putting vinyl wrap exactly where you plastidipped. Definitely need more pics and also I'd like to see more pics of the carbon fiber emblems and a link to where you got them?

The plasti dip has a frozen matte look which is very nice, I was actually thinking of dipping the grills too to match

Yeah, its a thin piece of carbon fiber. Can't tell it's a sticker even up close if properly installed. I had doubts too but now that I've seen it I'm a believer

I like it. The only criticism that I have is the inner edge, which you taped off. I think it would look better if it were taped down to the horizontal axis instead of the vertical. I think it would look a little more factory. When I wrapped our shop 135i, I left those blades un-wrapped for a similar effect.

Why would someone do something this cheap to a 50K+ car? Stop being cheap and do it proper. Plastidip is for the Hyundai crowd.

I like the roundel though.

As I mentioned in my first sentence, the reason: with the splitter I would lose my bumper on the first pothole in NYC. $550 won't even get you 3 days rent in this city and definitely won't be worth putting my own time in of itself.
