Lost a jelly bean - need help getting it out!
I was moving my son's car seat and a jellybean (I think that's what it was) fell out and rolled right into the opening for the latch connector - the one next to the rear door on the driver's side. I can't see or feel it if I stick my finger in. I know most wouldn't care but I'm a little paranoid about food rotting in the car and I've heard stories of mice getting into the car and chewing on wires. I know we have had mice in the garage.
I can't see how to get in there and don't want to destroy anything. Anyone have any suggestions.

If you mean it's under the seat bottom, just move your hands to center of the seat cushion and pull towards the roof firmly. There are 2 clips that hold the seat bottom to the car. Look for it under there. Btw there aren't any wires there. It just may melt in the summer time and be sticky or gummy

So is the entire back seat cushion one piece? That's what it appears to be. I just pull firmly upwards and the whole thing comes off? Just don't want to break anything.

May be silly but I would want it out too. Rather not haver it melt in the car and become sticky.

There is nothing to see if you have noticed your latch sites before. When I look in I can not see anything other than space and some wiring. For those that do not know where the latch connectors are here is an annotated pic from BMWUSA. The latch sites have plastic doors that lift up to get access to the connector and the jelly bean or whatever it is fell in there.
I saw a video on youtube of lifting up and off the entire rear seat cushion on an e90. Assuming it's similar for f30 and will try it tonight.

Jelly beans don't smell when they rot and the chances mices will infest your car are pretty low. The worst case is that the latch attach will get sticky, but do you manipulate it that much?

To an outsider, the thread title would imply that BMW's build and reliability have improved dramatically, leaving only the colorful and squishy issues to be speculated upon by forum enthusiasts. (see what I did there)

Got it!! Lifting seat cushion was a snap. It was actually not a jelly bean but a fruit snack gummy thing. THANKS!!
