Barely 4 weeks after delivery. Dead stop in a left turn arrow lane. Guy behind me stops. All of a sudden I feel a jolt as if I accidentally took my foot off the clutch and it stalled.

I realize I'm hit and jumped out. A Russian dude gets out and apologizes--says his foot slipped off the brake. 2010 Highlander. Bumper cover is a bit messed up, don't see any damage below. But 800 miles, WTF?

Silver lining. The weekend after I picked up the beast from the dealer I noticed indentations in the rear bumper as if somebody bashed me in the garage, or maybe they were there when I picked her up. In any event I'll get a new bumper cover, and the body shop I use is nonpareil. Pristine bumper again.

I just had mine backed into. The drivers corner of the back bumper is smashed in, looks like I'll need to replace the whole thing.

Nice way to start thanksgiving.

Same thing happened to me, I got hit by an idiot cab driver. I'm glad I can always come here to vent lol.

Sorry to hear that, but main thing is your okay. This is why we have insurance for cars. Long as ur okay, a car is always fixable/replacable.

I took some and the damage is hard to see in a photo (have them on my home PC). Wondering how they repair something like that as I believe the bumper cover is just plastic. Maybe have to replace the whole thing.

Into the body shop this morning. So the other driver's insurance is paying for the rental and the only thing Enterprise had on hand was a Suburban. However, after driving that ridiculous thing to work, I asked them if they could swap it out for something more reasonable.

They just delivered a new Dodge Charger. Now this will be interesting to compare to the Bimmer....

So the car's been at the body shop for 10 days and it's going to be there a few more because: 1. the first bumper cover the dealer shipped was for an E90, and 2. two brand new F30 M-Sport bumpers shipped from 2 different BMW dealers have come in with identical damage and deformity.

I only had the car for barely 4 weeks before that idiot tagged the bumper.

I wonder if the whole current inventory is messed up. Anybody else run into this issue?

Sorry to hear about the fender bender snowghost, I had a similar experience except for the fact that it was a dipsh*t hipster on a single-speed bike rear end me, ended up with trunk and rear panel damage all from a BIKE!

This was just days after picking up the car from the Performance Delivery Center... It's since been fixed and forgotten.

Hope you got a nice loaner.

A damn bike! Amazing. The guy's insurance company got me a 2012 Dodge Challenger so it could be worse.

I just hope the whole present inventory of M-Sport bumpers isn't hosed.
