Yeah, but there is 2 versions of the nav in 2012

But assuming this is for the older 2012 version.

As John has an F31 it will have the new pro nav. Whether it uses the same map data as older nav is to be determined. Could affect new one only or both I guess?

No i cant. The new nav came in at a certain build week...

New nav was end september

John I ve just read this thread so its good news in one way.

Owning up to fault means accountability... and hopefully a fix soon..

With compensation makes its easier to swallow...

Yea sure and I hope it helps you guys if you get the Nav problem and BMW deny it.

So this is an issue with the new nav? The new nav dates confused me, as I know Mastro Al, has the old Nav, but has only just got his car?

For F31. For UK F30 started w/new Nav 11/2012.

Just had a call from Scothall in Milton Keynes to book my F31 in for a software update at the start of January 2013. This is to fix the issue in PUMA 52609163-04.

Will let you know if there is any improvement once done.

I spoke to BMW earlier this morning, and they confirmed to me that they know there is a problem. The guy I spoke who was convinced that the problem was down to the fact that the car "thinks" its on the wrong side of the road sometimes - and thinks its in continental Europe ? not sure if thats right - but thats what I was told.

Spoke to Leaseplan and they're arranging for my car to be booked into my local dealer (Scotthall in MK).

Not good for £2k option. Not good at all.

No such update, sorry Gary mate no updates at all on this problem as yet, Scotthall will only check your car for faults and this will not show up as a fault.

I quoted the PUMA number and BMW CS and they said NO such number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, they gave that number to me. I give up.

I am less that happy now.

John, they are doing some other stuff for me at the same time and are giving me a loaner whilst they have my car, so not a disaster.

I will make a note of all the software versions etc before they have it, and then raise the question if they havent changed at all.

Good Gary, I have just spent 2 hours on the phone with BMW UK, and ended up getting nothing but NO update as yet

Pissed me right off, I hope you get some luck in January.

It looks like the Latest sat-nav has the problems, so the first cars here with it are the F31 touring, BMW have agreed that a problem exists, if the saloons are now coming in with the latest versions then they will also have this problem I would assume as NO update yet available.
