It means you got the SULEV model, which I believe is N26 engine instead of N20.

Congrats. I hope to be there soon as well. From what EnerJi said, the Act. Prod. Date may not be populated until production is complete.

Backwards. He had a 133O (328i Sedan SULEV German production) and they switched him into a 133N (328i Sedan German Production).

Also, yes status 150 without an actual production date is common. Means order is locked, parts are being ordered, and actual build will be started soon. Keep an eye on it, the 800# will likely have a production completion date soon enough. Your CA can also give you a build completion date when available.

so just wanted to add to this thread.

i had a 328i m-sport / lighting / sport auto on order. 6 weeks of being in 112 status , and i canceled (the dealer was a huge lying jackass as well, said he couldnt change orders anymore etc etc among other lies) and got the car locally by a stroke of luck for much less money.

that said, i checked the original production number the other day. so within a few days of my canceling, the car was changed into a liquid blue sports line , with beige leather and wood and went into production.

so there was either some sort of delay with m-sport or my dealer just was trying to for some reason keep it in 112 status because the liquid blue sports line went into production right away.

Seems likely there is some sort of legitimate delay. That said, if mine doesn't go into production this week, I'm gonna flip. And I'm also going to drive an ATS and call my Audi salesman on my way home from work.

My CA isn't the shady type, but he's also not aggressive enough, odd as that may sound. He's too laid back, which makes him easy to deal with and negotiate with, but doesn't lend itself to getting me answers on why it's taking so long. Life is all about expectations. If I knew it would take a month (and counting) at 112, I would be content. But I was given the impression it would go into production within a few days and either BMW doesn't give these guys enough information, or he just isn't pushy enough to get it.

Luckily for BMW, I saw an F30 at the grocery store today that was enough to remind me what I'm waiting for and buy just a little more of my patience.

dont think there is, this is my current timeline for a 335i Msport

11/8 ordered
11/9 entered production
11/20 exited production
11/30 loaded onto ship-- ship is currently heading for southampton, UK
12/16 expected unload in NY
12/20 expected delivery

Sounds like my salesman traded for a lousy allocation then. It may actually come right when I originally wanted it, but I'm not happy with the expectations he set.

you should ask him for what production week the car is scheduled for....status 112 just means the car is in the order bank.

my dealer got me a prod slot that was PW 47, which got bumped to PW46. the slot was at status 112, which went to 150 the day after it was marked priority 1 sold.

Initially I was thinking the same.. But it seems like it was out of my ca's hands. I spoke to BMW NA about this and they told me that after my order was placed (in Sep), my dealer did not make any changes to my order.. It just sat in 112 for a long time. BMW didnt give any explanations as to what caused the delay or when it might get produced. They (both BMW and my CA) could have handled the situation in a much better way rather than giving me the run-around.

Also, I think that the delay might have been legitimate since I talked to one of my co-worker yesterday and found out that he is in a similar situation despite placing an order through a different dealer. He placed an order 3rd week of Sep for 328i M-Sport and it didn't go into production until last week. He was given a PW43 initially.

VIR said week 49, but "conf prod" said 51. That was as of about a week and a half ago. Not sure if it was originally sooner or always that late. This is probably the worst part of the process. You cant get an clear response either from your Dealer or BMW. You are buying a product that costs $40-$50k. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a few basic questions about your order answered.

your dealer didnt have any production allocations available which is why it sat in 112 for a while.

No, 11/26. My CA has maintained it should have started last week and that the VIR he got from the BMW NA site was not up to date, insists it should be in production or finished by now. Estimate I got from BMW NA seems to confirm that, but they of course stressed that it was subject to change and no guarantee. Also, the BMW NA VIR still showed status 111, but he keeps saying German site says 112...

I know sometimes BMW NA can be behind, showing status 112 when the car is on a boat already... But my CA should be able to get a true status and it seems he can't.

This means, if accurate, I was sitting in 111 for over 3 weeks despite customer sold status. My CA was convinced it was in 112 weeks ago. I'm starting my shopping for 335 inventory, an S4 and ATS.

That stinks, man. Most likely the week 51 "confirmed production" on your VIR is accurate, and your car won't ship until early next year. Good luck finding something in inventory.

so basically he didnt have an allocation ready to go and either didnt know it was status 111 or lied to take you out of the market.
if you are PW51, you wont see the car till early-mid jan.

Don't think he could've put the order in (to get 111) without an allocation, right? I think he's a little scatter brained more so than shady.. Not sure if he just thought it went to 112 sooner because it usually is faster, or if it really is an issue with these tracking systems being terribly out of sync and out of date. FWIW, the message I've been getting on the 800# since a couple days after the order went in is the "scheduled for production with no confirmed production date," presumably the 112 message, same as I still get now.

Early to mid January would be a few weeks later than I expected/hoped, but i could live with it. Any later, not sure I'll wait.

when did he give you a production number?

i dont buy the out of sync claim, my CA sent me a VIR day of the order showing status 112, then the next day showing the vin and status 150.
the customer facing tracking is out of date (website and phone number). the dealer has access to up to date info.
