2013 Glacier Silver M-Sport Euro Delivery

Back In February I picked up a 2012 Mineral Grey 328i base model and absolutely loved the car....until I saw the M-Sport photos. I have had 3 previous Titanium Silver BMW's so I was never completely sold on my choice of color and I have also always wanted a car with red interior so I swapped my lease with someone and placed an order for a 2013 M-Sport 328i with Coral Red Interior. The Deliver experience in Germany was amazing, the wait to get the car home however was absolutely horrific, needless to say I survived the wait and just got the car home!

•The entire process from the 1st email I sent to the salesmen, until the time I got the car home was a little over 3 months.

•The car feels like a different model compared to the base model 2012 I previously had. So much smoother, firmer and lux feeling.

•Previously had an e46 M3 and e92 (coupes) and so far not regretting my decision to get a sedan whatsoever.

2012 328i Base model:
•Sunroof
•BMW Assist
•18X8.5 et 35 (Front and Back) with factory Pirelli 225/45/18 tires
•M-Performance Grilles
•Matte black rear diffuser
•Stealth chrome front turn signals
•HID kit (Aftermarket)
•Sportline floor matts
•Sportline dash trim with red accent

2013 328i M-Sport:
•Coral Red Leather
•M-Sport Package
•Rear view camera and PDC
•Xenons
•19X8.5 et35 CS7's front with 225/40/19 Hankook Ventus V12 tires
•19X9.5 et35 CS7's rear with 255/35/19 Hankook Ventus V12 Tires
•Painted front and rear reflectors from IND
•Stealth Chrome front turn signal bulbs
•M-Performance gas and brake pedals
•Black sportline exhaust tips (on the way)
-M-Performance rear spoiler painted Glacier Silver

M-Performance Spoiler:

OEM Sportline exhaust tips (Black):

That Coral Red interior, Silver bodywork and Black wheels really go well together and make for a quite unique look. Congratz!

Couple more pics, just put the Sportline grilles on. Rear spoiler is on the way!

Very nice, color and wheels look perfect. Silver was my next choice in color before the EB but I've had two silver cars already. Congrats!!

Nice! I came from a tiag E92 as well. Silver is still one of the best colours on a BMW. Going for xenons this time round was also a good choice.

Nice color combo! What is the difference between the MSport and Sportline grills though?

Like the beefier tire choices. Are you going to drop it? I have a similar setup coming, havent' bought the tires yet. Contemplating going 235/40/19 and 265/35/19 on H&R super sports.

I put an ad out on craigslist actually, took a few weeks but found someone that was familiar with the process and took it over

Thanks! Ya Xenons were an absolute must this time, and I still feel that they should be standard equipment on a car like this.

I have always thought that German Silver shows the design elements best in my opinion, plus you get the added benefit of having a car that almost always looks clean!

The base model F30, and M-Sport both get the same grille which has 11 slats. The Sportline grilles have 8 slats that are thicker, and have a kink at the top compared to the other grilles. European model F30 M-Sport cars come with the 8 slat version. I would love to know the logic behind why the US version did not get the same 8 slat grille.

I do want to drop it, but I wish there was a very mild 15mm spring I could put on. When the car is rolling, it actually sits perfect in my opinion as I don't like how slammed cars look.

If my wheels had a slightly less aggressive offset, I would have definitely done those exact tire sizes that you mentioned. I think this car has to have the beefier looking tire since the car is so big, plus I love the more aggressive bulldog look it gives it

How does the F30 328i compare to the E46 M3?

Congrats on a great colour choice !!! And for your choice of grills !! Yes, Glacier silver really does best show off the lines of the car. It is a slightly richer and creamier silver than Titanium. The fact that this colour so far seems to be relatively rare only adds to its appeal for me.

Why the folks @ BMWNA chose the 11 slat version grills for the M Sport package is beyond me ? The Euro M Sport grills that you and I have retro-fitted are a subtle improvement.

Your black wheels also look good on Glacier silver.

Enjoy your new ride !

Thank you so much! I am going to do a photoshoot with my dads e46 M3 in Titanium Silver and my car so we can see the color difference side by side but I think you described it perfectly. I have also noticed that Glacier Silver seems to be somewhat rare.

My wheels are actually the same color as the diffuser on the car, but they look black in the pics for some reason

Thanks again for the comments!

The base model 2012 I had felt extremely light compared to the E46 M3 but very soft and almost cheap. The 2013 M-Sport feels excellent, almost like a refined, well oiled machine compared to the e46 M3.

I dont miss the speed of the M3 at all. My new car is only a 328i but it feels plenty fast for street driving, has nice torque, feels solid as a rock, quiet inside etc. I have never been this pleased with any car I have ever had
