How to replace the foglight bulb? - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Anyone know how to access the foglight bulb? I want to switch the bulb to yellow. Thanks!

Turn your wheel
Unscrew the wheel well lining.
Reach in there twist and pull
Simple. Just like any other car.

Thanks, so basicly same as changing out the reflectors.

What bulbs did you use?

Same area as the reflectors but those you need to pry off since they have an adhesive on them. I have yellow fog lights from bimian. Try piaa bulbs they may be brighter yellow.

The ones I bought from Ebay match perfectly if anyone is interested.
I ended up buying a set for the X5 as well.

so what's the bulb size for the fog light? H7R, H11 or H8?? i tried google awhile but i got all different answers.

i appreciate it!.. bummer the ebay link is all out however im guessing a H8 5100K xenon bulb should work the same color right....?

I took these as I got to work tonight. I will take some in daylight when I get home in the morning.

Perhaps this is a dumb question but did people replace the H8 bulb with a 35W or a 55W? I ordered some but the 55W arrived and I am concerned that i will have some unintended "plastic melting" fiasco if I install them?

Appreciate any and all input on this
