Anyone holding off on ordering a 335i due to emminent engine changes (335i vs 340i)?
I would not be surprised to see the F32 unveiled in Detroit, fitted with a new power train. My own speculation is a 340i power plant with a 3.2 liter twin turbo inline 6, possibly 330 HP/330 torque.
However, knowing BMW, they will probably launch it in the F32 first, followed by the F30. Which I guess would make that one long wait. Perhaps 2015ish, in time for the F30 LCI?

I always tell people not to wait. Enjoy the now. Besides, let's say you wait a year. Then you decide you really want the coupe which doesn't come out for another year, then you want a specific color interior or exterior which won't come out for another year, then........it can go on and on.

The waiting game has no end. There is always something better coming ... just down the line. That's called a consumer economy

Uh, the current F30 335i is pretty much already 330hp/330tq. It's underrated; trust me. There's a reason it has run a 12.9 1/4 mile in a few comparisons.
Combine that with the 23/33mpg sticker and I think they'll ride this pony for a bit. |

Yeah the waiting game with cars is a tough one.
I have enough trouble as is using all the power the 335 has on a daily basis. Even when I want to drive fast I find that 6th/7th gear and under 4000 RPM has more power than I'd ever need since the torque curve is so damn flat. So would I wait for marginally more power, probably not. I contemplated waiting for the new navigation but I'm glad I didn't, my life is just fine without it.

My 335 m sport ,
auto, just feels faster than my previous 2010 335 m sport manual. I wondered at first about it being under powered but it's all I can imagine unless tracking the car. Breaks tires loose too easily and is just a ball. Thought I'd miss the 2010, which I did at first because of manual and I loved the look of the e92, not this has me just saying, what a perfect car. You don't more power. btw, the m sport brake pkg plus the 19's add a lot. JMO. Hniel

LOL what? This car is not running 12.9 second quarter miles stock. This car is slightly underrated, but not to the tune of making 330hp.
