It's not going to be out until at least late summer. The E92/E93 are still un production until July 2013.

As per meeting with OICA the governing body for (International) autoshows.

Shanghai in late April early May has got the BMW 4er Coupe and also the production Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse.

Just picked up a left over 2012 F30 and was told that the dealers here in the US can expect delivery on the 4 series by July which is why I wound up buying the F30. Waiting another 6 months was not in the cards for me.

Did he make a distinction between delivery of demonstrator models vs regular production?

On the F30, they send out a couple to each dealer to generate orders but were RE stricter from being sold until production built up.

That timing is inaccurate.

Production of the F32 4 Series does not start until July, so dealers won't see any (demos or actual cars for sale) until at least mid-late August.

Would have been an even longer wait for you though, so good decision.

Didn't tell me but I would agree the August time line being closer to accurate. As much as I wanted the 4 series, I just don't want to wait and endure possible delays. I'm happy with the new ride I'm picking up wednesday.

On the other hand, a few websites claim that BMW will first debut 4 series in Frankfurt Motor Show that will be held in the month of September, and will start the production later.
