I have no doubts that people will pay whatever BMW asks for the 4 series. Can't wait to see the coupe but I'm most likely going to end up with 335i or M3 regardless.

"Coupe" derives from a French word, "coupé", the past participle of the verb "couper" which means "to cut". So it's not necessarily wrong to apply it to a sedan that has a piece of useful space sliced out of it but still has four doors.
