I'm not sure why your dealer is suggesting the ARB's are wrong. My contact confirmed with AG today that those are indeed the correct part numbers. Did they not fit????

Also, I'm a bit confused still around the springs. Are the ones you ordered the M Sport Springs? or M Performance Springs? If the former, then how is the car going to be lower? I'm ignorant when it comes to this, but my understanding is that it's generally the springs that determine the ride height... no?

Hey, they are indeed wrong. BMWUSA has it all wrong, the tech spent 4 hours taking apart the subframe, trying to mount the ARB, and it wouldn't clear the oil pan.

SO DON'T USE THOSE NUMBERS.

I don't have a part number yet on the M Perf Springs, and I'm waiting form my SA to call me back. . .she was out when I picked up the car. Just nice to have the F30 back...god it's so sexy.

You need the Strut Kit.
You need the Spring kit.
You need the M SPORT Front and Rear Anti Roll Bars.

FOR 335i M SPORT owners:
You need the Strut Kit.
You need the Spring Kit.

You can use the Strut Kit part numbers I offered for ALL lines.

I don't have the Spring Kit numbers (lol).
Neither I, nor BMW, have the correct ARB #'s for the 335i. They had ordered the 328i M Sport ARB's for me.

Gotcha, ya... I think the problem is that BMW Canada is using the exact same catalog.

At this point, I'm not ordering anything else. I don't want a bunch of suspension parts sitting in my garage. I'm trying to get clarification as well on the parts, so keep me posted if you do. If we can, then i'll keep the kit and wait. Otherwise, I think I'm going to just return it and call it a day.

Sounds good man, SA wrote me back, Parts Mgr/Rep are discussing on Monday to get it straightened out...they were out 4 hours of labor, so the dealership wants it sorted out.

I'm REFUSING to keep the $1400 on my credit car as an interest free loan to them waiting for parts, though...so as far as I'm concerned, if it's not ordered and resolved by Monday, they better take a full return and I'll just wait for a year from now to do this crap when specials are running or something.

I love how all their catalogs are incorrect...is BMW usually like this? Kind of scary.

Seems that the non-sport (base) model F30s need to upgrade the front & rear roll bars along with the springs. Also the M Performance package (struts + accessories) doesn't include springs.

If you already have an M-Sport/Sport, then all you have to upgrade are the springs & struts. The M-sport and Sport models include the f & r roll bars.

The M Performance springs currently don't have any part #s.

For 328i/335i Base, Luxury, and Modern:
You need the Strut Kit = 33502320981 - http://www.bmwpartspros.com/partloca...subcat3=193424 $1500 list, online for $1100-1200
You need the Spring kit = NA, Approx $600-800

My SA just called, they spoke with the rep and are taking care of everything because of the royal mix up, and will get M Perf Springs AND the correct ARB's from Germany at their cost, and we will proceed as planned once they arrive...so won't be before Turkey day, but positive direction.

These are the spring's:
P2 31-33-6-851-922 FRONT COIL SPRING
P3 33-53-6-851-930 REAR COIL SPRING

Would love to have others cross-verify...(I'll get correct ARB for 335i when I go in person, so stay tuned for that)...

Maybe, but honestly they way this clusterfuck has been going, I wouldn't be the first guy to do it. Wait..... Shivaswrath and I are learning the hard way :S

Also, I wouldn't go that route. The struts are not the same as M-Sport struts. How much different remains to be seen, as LITERALLY nobody else has this kit (I'm the first and only one in Canada LOL). If you're just interested in looks, and want it lowered, I suspect it'd probably be cheaper just to go with H&R's. Either way, with just springs, ride quality is going to be a compromise. Over-sprung and Underdampened rides aren't fun.

If you're not bottoming out with your H&R's, and the handling is good, then perfect. I bet a track scenario may lead to a different result though :P. But in all honesty, I haven't rubbed at all and the ride is very close to stock.

I would still prefer getting coilovers in the near future.

I just checked on the bmwusa.com site and there is NO listing or choice for the "M performance" suspension for the F30.

There is a listing for an M performance suspension for the E90.

The price is not bad either for OEM.

Interestingly, the 135i kit shows the same spring part numbers but different damper number.

Back to the F30 M performance kit.
In the US the sport and Msport use the same springs and dampers, and with the dynamic handling package the springs remain the same but the dampers are changed.

I was hoping that the F30 M performance suspension parts could be bought separately so that I could just get those springs to use with the M adjustable dampers. My 335i Msport suspension is very good, but the springs could be a bit firmer for my liking.
If the M performance springs do have a firmer spring rate they could be exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm not looking for a drop, just firmer springs.
