the A5 and S5 cars have the same horsepower as their sedan versions same with the C class coupes. If they have the same ending numbers they will have the same horsepower. now if it ends up being a 440 vs 335 then i agree the 440 will have more. but if its a 435 and a 335 then then it'd make sense to assume itll either have the same HP as now, or the 2014 335i will have more hp than the 2013 version. they don't even have to justify the price premium. they'll just release it and people will buy it anyway even if a 428 costs say $7k more than a 328i someone will buy (or more likely lease) it |

Because the 4er is rumored to debut the N55 replacement, which would likely remain exclusive to that car, for a while at least.

I'm so happy with my F30, I'm not thinking about ANY new car. I'm thinking about a new exhaust system and wheels and driving the shit out of it!

I think thats flawed. When the e90 came out it was sedan only for 2006 with the 325 and 330. When the e92 joined for 2007 the entire lineup whent to 328 and 335.

We will see. But we never had this situation before, with a 3er, and 4er.

And the 6er has a more powerful (tuned) version of the N55 than what you get in the 5 series. So again, it stands to reason that the 4 I6 coupe will be more powerful than the equivalent 3 series sedan. |

Given the 428 and 328 most of us know will have the same n20 and the gap in price there will be more than the e9x generation . Do you think a 428 will also have more HP than a 328 then? By your logic with the n55 and a hypothetical 435 vs 335 it should right? |

I really don't know, about the 428i. No one is even sure if it will be a 428i/435i, or they'll call them something else, i.e. 430i/440i.

I ordered a sportline 328 and passed on it when it came in. As much as I loved the car , Its just the wife & me. I didn't want to do a short lease on it just to have the "newest car on the block" so I figured I'd wait for the 4 series, but I wouldn't consider it an upgrade. The base coupes have always cost more then the base sedan. Go figure, you pay more $ for less doors. But is there any proof that the engine in the 4 series will be more powerful like I've hear people talking about?Back in 2007 when they 1st started talking about doing this it was only to designate the coupes from the sedans, but now with the gran coupes , it doesn't seem to matter

from the pics Ive seen, the coupe doesnt look different enough to demand a significant price increase such as the 5 vs 6 series. I would expect an increase similar to the E9X price difference unless they do offer more HP in addition. However, I do not see them having a different engine, I believe the 3er sedan and 4er coupe will have similar engine options. The 4er may have the new I6 initially but I believe the sedan will get it as well. Wouldn't make financial sense to build this new engine and only offer it in the limited coupe segment.

F32 Price increase!
Searching for facts. Many have said there will be a price increase for the F32, if so where did they get the info? Has BMW officially published this information? Or is this in reaction to rebadging the new models as a 4 series??
