Delivery Mileage - Page 2 - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Interesting that it's all over the board. Low seems to be 2 miles and high 33 miles. Picking mine up at PCD in January. Will be interesting to see where mine falls.

I remember that part of the tour too. I'm not sure how long the test is, perhaps it is less than a mile, or the odometer is overridden during the test. Mine had some change on the trip computer, but I don't remember exactly how much it was.

Oh, and PS - Mine had about 17 additional miles put on it from the time I dropped it off in Europe and picked it up in the US.

Those tests at the factory don't add miles, as the car is in test mode.

When you pick up a car via ED, it will have between 0.2-2.0 miles on it.

Now that is BS. I would have raised some cain with the dealer and BMWNA. Someone went on a beer run with your car! Did they at least leave some Weizenbock in the trunk?

Correct. Somehow the factory knows how to disable the odometer. Maybe they'll shareware that tool.

Car has 1/4 tank of fuel. That's enough to be a powerful bomb (especially mixed with air). If interior delivery/fire regs were a concern, the car would have a tiny bit of fuel.

Surely the Welt was built with plenty of fire suppression, ventilation and smoke evac to meet standards.

Do they fuel fill the cars when you exit the bldg? Or, do ED buyers get to pay $7/gallon for fuel for their new car?
