6 feet of water in the middle of the street. 7 in my house.I will enjoy the car but it doesnt have the raw vicious power of an e90 n54 engine.

^^^ Sorry to hear about that mess.
Hope you'll share some more thoughts on your new car. I drove a Luxury line, as well. Felt good, but I'm looking for a bit more sportiness via the Dynamic Handling Package. You're right, it doesn't feel "raw" like an N54. But a LOT of torque! |

on the hybrid 3 with sport line or M sport pkg, you do not get the sport suspension.

I just ordered my Hybrid 3 yesterday. I ordered a Alpine white with Black leather and the Aluminum trim. M sport, M dynamic susp, sport auto, perm pkg and HK sound. Goes into production in week 48. Hopefully i can get it before the end of the year. I am also thinking of changing the interior to the coral red which was my original choice.
Today I also added the heated steering wheel and the lane departure warning w/ forward collision warning. thanks to the above post's pointing that out.

Just as a quick reminder, for those that just ordered the AH3, or are considering it:
There are a few options that are free on a AH3. The heated steering wheel (even with M-sport) is N/C. Also, Lane Departure Warning/Forward Collision Warning (5AD) and Speed Limit Info (8TH) are both N/C options. You have to order these separately, not part of Driver Assistance Plus package. The $0 charge for these shows up both on Build Your Own BMW site, as well as on my Vehicle Inquiry Report. That's a $700 savings. |

If you are not in the market for the Driver Assistance package or Nav/Tech then the only N/C options you are eligible for are Heated steering wheel and lane departure warning. Last edited by claykin; 11-15-2012 at 09:58 AM. Reason: correcting error |

I always assume anyone considering a $50K car is gonna spring for the Nav (especially the updated one!) option. And Driver Assistance Package is a no-brainer for someone like me. After 7 years, my daily driver Accord has so many nicks, scrapes and bumps from getting too close to objects while backing/parking. I hope to avoid all of those with this new car, via all the cameras. |

Oh, I made an error and am correcting now. Its only the speed limit info that requires Nav/Driver Assist packages. You can still get heated steering wheel and lane departure warning for N/C without Nav/Driver assistance according to the BMWUSA car configurator.
Based on the lane departure warning description, I think this is standard in all F30's "....by sending out a mild vibration through the steering wheel...." ![]() |

I think you need Nav to get get Speed Limit Info 8TH, so it can be displayed in the HUD. Obviously there is a camera mounted by the rear-view mirror to capture this. Lane Departure Warning uses the cameras from the Driver Assistance Package, so I actually think your first assessment was more accurate?
If you want to see some real freebies, check out cars like the 535i GT and 550i GT. For 2013, those cars get a few Nav/Value package, and big power bump, respectively. Made the non-GT 5er owners get pretty peeved ![]() |
