Hi Everyone,

would you be able to send me the links for the files?

I've read through this thread exhaustively as well as the attachements and think I want to jump into making the changes to my own car. I ordered a cable and think i'll give it a shot. It sounds simple enough.

Actually no, it depends on spec. My 320ed defaults from the factory to Eco Pro. It should in theory be possible to change the default.

There are some settings in the KOMBI CAF folders which change the FDS settings in the instrument display panel. There may be something here. I was going to some further investigation but haven't got round to it it yet.

Done some coding, everything was fine except the Sport Display - the HP and Torque dials showing up in the screen but no info. Did I miss something? Thanks.

My cable that I ordered from ebay arrived a few days ago. Did my coding yesterday. Everything went well.
A few notes from the coding:
1. 320i F30 Sports Line (pre loaded for Indonesian Market).
2. ASS is default to on as expected. Set it to remember last setting.--> this works perfectly.
3. DVD min/max/P + HB requirement set it to off. --> not tested.
4. Region Code is defaulted to 3 (south east asia). I just took a peek at it. Didn't change anything.
5. Auto Mirror fold/unfold using keyfob/comfort access. surprising defaulted to ON. What's interesting is that i don't have comfort access but it works with key fob.
6. Auto mirror unfold speed changed --> not tested.

My main need was to get the ASS to remember last setting. I am glad that works. The rests are just bonuses.

Dealer just reprogrammed my car.. lost all my codes..have to try again..

oh well.. at least my heat is fixed and y temperature dial actually works..change it 2 degrees you can feel the difference coming from the vents.

Thanks sandman. Do I have to disable the seatbelt warning or can I just disable the second feature. Kinda like having the warning (as a reminder).

As I remember, seatbelt warning had to be disabled.
Even then you have to drive a bit with your door closed. 'cos if you start your engine and immediately drive with opened door, car still shifts to Parking.

Did someone find a fix to disable the mirror fold at certain speed in and out?

ok i think these are the ares to code.. mirror fold in and out speeds..
i changed in and out to 65..

New member of forums looking to code my new F30.

I just got my cable recently, and got everything setup - ESys and when I did ZGWSearch everything worked ok (saw IP and addresses, etc). But I got this attached error message when I tried to connect.

The file path listed is where I have the ESysData installed. I got the pszdata from usenet for 47.4 and 47.5 and I just merged content of folders... Maybe I'll just try with 47.4, in case that was the problem, but anyone have any other ideas?

Reinstalling and using 47.4 worked - got connected and now have the settings read and backed up. Will be looking them over and hopefully get some coding done this weekend...

Some things I'd like come up several times, does this mean it needs to be coded in each of those locations or will either one of them do?

Not sure on the F30, but on the F10 it's:

ASP_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_AUTO_AUSKLAPPEN = Side Mirror threshold speed in km/h for automatic unfold in forward motion. - 28 HEX = 40 Decimal (40 Km/Hr = 24.85 mph)

ASP_MAX_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_BEIKLAPPEN = Side Mirror threshold speed in km/h for manual fold in forward motion. - 14 HEX = 20 Decimal (20 Km/Hr = 12.43 mph)

Yes, but those CAFD's are from 47.1, but is the problem that your car has 47.1 on it, or is it that your car has something newer than 47.5 on it?

What are your exact E-Sys "Missing CAFD [CO12]" error messages?

You can not merge entire PSdZData sets together as you will end up with conflicting binary files (e.g. .dll, .jar, etc.). You can however take select few older or newer CAFD files from different PSdZData sets and copy those into your PSdZdata set.

You should have just deleted your entire PSdZData folder, and replaced it with with only 47.5. There are no CAFD's in 47.4 that aren't also in 47.5 anyway, but if you want to use 47.4 instead, and your car needs nothing newer, that is fine too.

Both. Many codes require more than one parameter alone to enable a feature. The codes work in conjunction with each other.
