Must-have features?
In the end its all personal, but here's my list. I'm forgetting about package-budnles here and just putting down what I found compelling. Its in order but not perfectly so.
1. 335 2. xDrive 3. VSS 3. Navigation 4. Xenon/adaptive headlights/auto brights 5. All iPhone stuff 6. Heated front seats 7. M Steering wheel 8. Wood on dash 9. no-Leather |

Right, although that was my point in avoiding packages, i.e., to list the features I wanted instead of pointing to the bundle. Packages have a lot of stuff I don't need or want but I bought a few for what I did want...

For me i had to have the Msport and Tech. I added Premium package and paddle shifters, went with black leather and wood accents. The rest will go into M performance parts as they come avail

Must have:
1. Sport Line 2. Sport Auto 3. H/K Nothing else, which is why that's all my car has. That being said, if I had more money, I'd order Xenons and Tech Package. I find no difference between leather and leatherette, couldn't care about cameras/sensors, and don't need cold weather in southern California.

It's just a way of holding the costs down for a dealer-lot model. Most people who have them love them, but for a certain segment of buyers it's not important (perhaps because they've never had them before), and would rather spend on a different option.

DHP Sport Auto Sport Seats Strangely, I never thought I'd need the premium package, but now I could never live without the convenience package. AMAZING! M Sport Now that I've driven almost 1k miles in my car I figure now I coulda passed on the tech package, HK, and Backup camera. But, they are still nice to haves. |

I went round and round with my order
I went like this 335 - b/c no matter how much power a car has, eventually you want more - and eventually you'll kick yourself for not spending the extra 4k and going for more displacement. Additionally, coming from 12 years of BMW I6's, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I was missing 2 cylinders in my garage Sport line (or M-Sport) the decision was the seats - not enough support without the sport seats - 10mm drop was thought about as well, but included below Sport 8AT - $500 for 200ms up shifts and 100ms down shifts with an auto-blip - that's a steal Nav (not tech package) - Nav gets you everything that tech does (except HUD and iPhone Apps) for $1000 less - could be spent better elsewhere Dynamic Handling package - where your 1K is better spent PS - If there was a moon-roof delete in NA for the 335, I would have checked that box |
