Yeah everyone has their true "must have" options that they need and everyone has their must have options they're not willing to forego. They're rarely the same thing
![]() My must haves I need were all to do with lots of miles with a bad back so it was adjustable lumbar and heated seats (still can't believe they're effing options on a forty grand car!) along with adaptive suspension for a smoother ride most of the time. Add to that Xenons (again, can't believe they're forking optional! Shameful from BMW!) because I'm blind as a bat at night and I had a bunch of options I couldn't buy the car without.

I'd go for:
Alpine white Xenons + plus headlight wash (can't have xenons without it) Hex trim with EB. I ordered hex with black trim but my car was delivered with EB. I really like it now and I'm so glad it came with it. It just adds that little bit of colour to the interior.. Get the windows tinted after market. AW needs tinted windows. Other than that your budget will be blown. Standard Audio is great for me. If I'd gone from HK to it then I might be a little disappointed but its OK in my book. The non xenon F30s look a bit boring in my opinion. Plus they are miles better for driving at night, it's not just about the cosmetics..

I'm a little late into this discussion. Personally, as a lot of the others say, options are very much a personal preference and I went a bit bonkers for them. Forgive my ignorance, but seeing as yours is a company car, is resale value important to you as it might be to a private buyer or does your car just go back after three years? |

My other option is 318d Msport but I don't know if I could put up with the power difference? If I did then my options list would be better. Decisions decisions................ |

No I need the space, as I currently have an e91 and use all that space. And especially as I'm on the motorway for 80 miles each day a F30 would be more comfy

I have a 330D SE on test this week - non-sport seats but with leather and heated. After not immediately spotting the heated seat controllers and driving 40 miles with the heating off, and then feeling the difference with the heat on, I would not choose leather seats without heating too
Re the stereo, this is the standard one, and it was better than I had expected - though a bit screechy in the treble and bass notes (eg double bass) rather muddled/indistinct. If speccing from new HK would be a must for me, though I would not be too disappointed if I found a nearly new / stock car with just standard speakers The xenons are very good - wouldn't want to be without them Colour? Where I live (not quite the middle of nowhere but rural all the same) any car gets filthy very quickly, so probably would go for mineral grey, white being ridiculously impractical |

I have the Alpine White. Its very sharp ! The HK sound is amazing.
The heated steering wheel is the best $250 I have spent.. The rear camera is great too bit if you are limited , the sound is a great one.I would pass on the enhanced bluetooth. You dont want to use blue tooth for audio anyway. |

Glad I went for that option too! One thing I have noticed, when the engine stops because of the ASS, the steering wheel gets cooler - presumably the car lowers the current to it while the engine is off.

Unfortunately here in the south of the UK we have motorways that turn into car parks at certain times of day and having to stop for one minute, two minutes or more is not uncommon ![]()

*EDIT: The digital signal is via USB and this should be the best option for sound quality. Bluetooth streaming that also comes with 6NK can be convenient, but the sound quality suffers. Last edited by Teme; 11-09-2012 at 02:46 PM. |

Yes. You can receive calls from two connected phones, but only call from one. You have to select which phone has priority (this is the one you call out from and the one that is prioritised should the phones ring at the same time).
