For sure, Its very deceptive when youre going that fast. In these cars it just doesnt feel like it. When I was racing that s4 I seriously only thought we were doing 100-110 untill I actually looked at the speed. Then again thats what these cars were engineered for.

Took my 328xi to 130 mph the other day, though only briefly.
Much easier to do it in 6th gear rather than putting in sport mode. Was pleasantly surprised with the gutsy N20, since it was quite easy. |

OT: I have only done 160 km/h (max during break-in) with this one. I did 210 km/h with the E90 320i I had (ran out of road ahead) but 3 years ago I lost my drivers license racing an undercover cop when I had a rental volvo V50 1.8 FlexiFuel. He was in a SAAB Estate(which is what they all drive........) and when we reached speeds above 200 km/h he turns on the blender in the grill and I saw that nasty blue/red flashing in my rearview mirror.. Had I looked carefully when I passed him I would have seen the uniform, but I was so angry giving him the finger cause he almost made me drive off the road earlier...... I still won.

My e90 had at least 7-8 km difference. I haven't checked it on the F30 yet |

Many automotive journalists have said that the N20 is 5-7% faster than the N55, so the speedometer isn't telling you anything new here. There are lots of other ways that the 335i is a nice car, like the shiny twin tailpipes. While we 328i owners don't get to see them much in our rearview mirrors, we know they're there from photographs and they are really sweet. BJ |

Itīs normal and I would assume they put a safety margin on it so that no one (americans) would sue their ass if they get ticketed, or involved in some kind of accident, by claiming the speedometer was showing the wrong (read lower) speed. So to be on the safe side they turn it up a few notches. At least thats what I think cause you know, outside the U.S u canīt get rich by slipping on a wet floor in a random store.. even if u would break your neck
![]() But, the F30 does show a more correct speed than the E90, only ~4 kms off vs. 7-8 in the latter.

The only department the 328 is superior is in is handling wich you use none of driving on your marry way to your country club. Line up against an 335i and run it and see what happens. Ill stick with my 13.3 1/4 mile you stick to your 14.2.... I want to sound like you so here goes my f30 335i is faster then an M3. ![]()

180-200km/h nearly every day )
~245-250 the fastest - but its really hard for N20 328 to gain speed up there ) no need to rape such a nice 4 banger ))

I don't know where in Ontario you could do this other than a back road that you know won't have anyone pulling out suddenly, or at a track. The 400 series highways guarantees a confiscation and huge fine and maybe a criminal record if you try it in Ontario. Unless you outrun em....

I have about 1450 miles on the odometer, and I have followed the owners manual recommendations during break-in period (stay under 100mph, and 4500rpm for first 1200 miles) However, since, I have slowly been pushing it a bit harder and today I briefly took it up to 118mph. It felt like I was doing half that speed, smooth and firmly planted. She can handle a good bit more, and she is going to see more,...soon.
