Well, I sure hope I am incorrect and they hustle and get it on the ship for you. Would be nice. 3 days is tight. Car has to be loaded at facxtory. They wait for other cars before transporting to port of Durban. Then its offloaded, paperwork, etc.. And that assumes ship has space for your car.

maybe my car will be completed before the 11/13...it went into production 11/2.....doubt that it matters but it has been marked priority 1

Production means 150 status. What really matters is when it hits 151+ status. This means VIN is assigned and its rolling down the line. Once it hits 151 the car should be completed in 3 days or so. Check with your CA for actual status update. CA dealer system will also have an estimated production start date and finish date.

My CA sent me a VIN on 11/6....

Edit: asked my CA about status today and she still said 150 even though I got a vin 2 days ago....that sound right at all?

The 800 number bumped my estimated completion date up to 11/12 though

looks like the swift ace is scheduled to leave durban 11/21 going to bremerhaven 12/14 and if it stays on that boat it arrives in baltimore 12/27....hoping i can at least make that ship and stay on board for the journey to balt.

And it will arrive at Port Hueneme on Jan 14, which would be consistent with an end-of-Jan delivery for me. But it has to get on that boat first My car is currently in the body shop according to the 800 number.

I just checked the schedule for Victorious Ace and it will not visit any ports on the Pacific coast.

So we're not getting our cars until the end of January?? There is no other possible way we might be on another ship? My build is supposed to be done 11/12 or so. It sucks we'll have to wait another TWO MONTHS????

I LOVE this car and the color and will no doubt be psyched to be driving it someday but I can tell you there is no freaking way I'll EVER order another car. I know myself and I just don't have the patience for it.

the automation tells you where it is in the process other than your vehicle is in production? i tried talking to a person and they said they didnt know anything other than it went into production

edit: just got clarification from the person i got transferred to...i have had a vin for a few days but apparently my car hasn't even hit 151 and the body shop yet....but it says it will be completed by the 12th, so i'm guessing it starts the process tomorrow.

I would have done that but I have a new job and don't have the time, have been to Europe numerous times and my ED would have been during winter in Germany when the weather is terrible.

I was in Italy last Jan/Feb during the coldest winter in 30 years and vowed I'd never go again to Europe during the winter. Winters in So Cal are more my speed. Someday I will do ED but it just didn't work out this time. My wife is looking for a new vehicle so maybe I can talk her into a car where we can do ED during the summer.

Thanks Technically she was begging me to go back before she gave birth last week

Last year, we took our 11 month old daughter to Europe for 12 days for ED. Now that took quite a bit of effort. Taking two little ones... this time I had to put my foot down
