Nah, it would have to be an ED car around Thanksgiving. It takes about a week to build the car, then they kinda sit on it for a week or so to get it ready for ED, so it will be someone that is picking up at the end of Nov or first week of Dec.

I'm also going to be upset. I delayed my order "just in case," finally ordering on 10/26 because a) everyone (including my CA) seemed to be confidently predicting that the US F30 would not be getting the new Nav this model year, and b) I was scheduled for PW46, with a possible bump-up to PW45, which would still meet the rumored start date for the new nav. In addition, based on the research I had done to that point, I was fairly confident that the logistics would prevent an order entered late in the day on 10/26 (a Friday) from being in PW44. So what happened? My darn car went into production 10/30 (the following Wednesday!) and as of today is in the body shop, with expected completion 11/8 (tomorrow, Thursday). Now I don't know whether the fact that it's being completed towards the end of PW45 makes it a PW45 car, or a PW44 as it was listed as "production started" last week? If my car is a PW44 and the new nav comes out beginning PW45 I don't know what I'll do. ![]() |

On the F10, yes. It does not have a new Option Code.

I see it listed on a US F30 build sheet.

If this indeed is the case, is it unreasonable for me to request that my car be reordered even though it is already nearing the end of production. My CA knew from the very beginning that I was wating on the new Nav (I waiting nearly 10 weeks). He has been great, but it is frustrating that the dealer has had no way to find out anything definitive from NA on the issue and left it's customers relying on rumor and forum posts in making a decision on their purchase.

The code for the new Nav is the same as the old Nav.

Or you could do what I did. Cancel your order for the F30, and get the ActiveHybrid 3 for only ~$1K more than a 335i ![]() |

I put my VIN into the www.bmwvin.com decoder and it came with 11/8/2012 production date. Nav system is listed as S609A "Navigation System Professional".
This website seems fairly accurate. It has all my options listed correctly. Anyone else? |

Again, the new Nav has the same option code as the old Nav. There is no way to tell at this point.

BMW AG has referred to the new Nav system as Navigation Professional. However, I won't get my hopes up too much...yet! ![]() |

I ran a VIN inquiry report on bmwvin.com for an F30 335 produced in Jan '12 and it also lists the same S609A Navigation Professional System.

I highly doubt they'll be upgrading the navigation system in the middle of a model year. Even if they did or are upgrading from PW45 onwards, at least the dealers would have received an official word from BMWNA by now.

That is not always true. My CA who has worked for BMW for 10 years told me they have randomly sprung things on them a few times over the years. However, he does agree that the F30 Nav system is not changing for the US at this time. His opinion is based on the dealer training video he watched last month.
