Well, the long voyage and the wait have nearly come to an end, my car is at the dealer receiving the final preparation steps now necessary to complete delivery. I am having his windows tinted, the wheels installed and afterwards the detail.

Interesting though, I think they had some difficulty firing up all the systems on the car as the vehicle electronic system is put in "transport mode" when being shipped. Upon receipt of the car, the Team at the dealer ran into difficulties doing so and had to obtain some sort of update for the software - hopefully this is not a bad omen, but instead just means that the "James Bond" options I had installed require attention, just kiddin, no ejection seat or weapons have been installed.

I will post pictures of the new addition this week as I expect to see delivery on or before Wednesday. I think I will put custom plates on the car, something to the effect of "Charley Bucket". For those of you who are fans of Willy Wonka, you may recall that Willy greets Charley and states simply "...And you. Well, you're just luck to be here, aren't you?" that's me.....

Congrats. My CA just emailed to say my car is coming off the truck at the dealer. Will probably be Wednesday before I have a chance to go over there and take delivery.

I am from Bay area too. Where do you order your car at?? and what do you mean by ur car is getting on a truck to Bellevue, WA??
My car is currently on a boat to Jacksonville, FL, and it doesn't come to CA, is that mean my car will be transfered from FL to CA by a truck??

It's been a long journey, but very enjoyable. I picked her up last night (has to be a her as she is so damn sexy). The delivery took a bit longer than I expected, but I ended up having the dealer install a converter (to power a PC) and just to be sure I'm covered, I had them load a 4g hotspot in the her too.

Drove her into work today and WHAT A JOY! She is very quick, a little more bulky than my 850i or our 528i, but that's to be expected with the room and luxury she provides. That said, a combination of the luxury and downright get up and go she has clearly places her in a class to be admired.

I recognize we are on a 3 forum, but I thought I would share a few photos with the hopes that you folks would do the same. Great tracking our deliveries together and I wish you all Godspeed.
