Hey there I would like to tune my car as well but i was wondering whether it would be harmful for the engine or the car? Also if its going to void my warranty or no.

harmful, dont think so... and it will void your warranty if they see it or find out codes in your car's computer (dme). I think they dont have the feature, yet, that clears the codes that might pop up.

Bmw is releasing the performance power kit in November 2012. Unfortunately its not much of a power bump. JB are definitely better though in terms of increasing power i guess..

Is JB4 safe for your engine?

Also, if I plan on adding a exhaust and DP, do I need to get a tune? I read on Suburu forums that that you must have a tune if you are going to run a DP.

JB4 sounds really tempting for the performance gains and for the price..Plus it seems easy to take off before taking in for service?

the JB is a safe tune but any time you push the output of the engine (stock or tuned) there is always some risk. As long as you are responsible, it should be fine. I had JB on my E90 335 (full bolt on parts too) and drove the piss out of it for 3 years and it held up fine.
