Rear brake pads due for service in 2800km?
Not sure if this seems right, I got my my F30 back in April and I'm currently at 10,400km/6222mls and it says that my car is due for service in 2800km for my rear brake pads.
Is this kind of wear and tear normal or would there be something wrong with my original brake pads? My front brake pads say that I still have about 50,000km left on them. |

How much of the brake pad is left? Inside compared to outside? Left side compared to right side? Or are you just relying on a message from the car?

I have a 320i Auto F30. My idrive said the brake pads needed to be serviced in 19.000km (front) . My F30 has now done 11.000km's.
Went to the dealer and had them take a look at it. Now its been reset to 31000km service..... |

No way the pads should need replacing at that point.
Either theres something mechanically wrong with the brakes, or the sensor is funked. You should be able to look at the actual caliper and see how much pad is remaining. The rears on my last car lasted 95,000 miles, and still had 2-4mm of pad left.

Yeah rears can go 50k miles easily unless you're braking really hard all the time. Even with really hard use, I'd expect at least 20k miles.
Just stick your hands through the spokes in the rear wheels and check for yourself.

My '07 E90 went to the dealer 3 separate times for the brake wear sensors telling me it was time to have them serviced. It was just an annoying glitch.
I swapped my pads at 45000 km for cool carbons along with new rotors and still had plenty of life in the oem pads.

go to your dealer if you want the message fixed. Just took in our X3 that has 15K miles on it(2012) and they adjusted it because they said there was something wrong with the software saying the brakes needed replacing sooner than they really do. I am guessing its the same issue on the F30.
