I hope you masked off behind the grilles too!
Off topic: I was plasti-dipping a rear valence today and it was surprisingly easy to work with. Too bad I ran out after only 2 coats. Need to run and grab another can tomorrow to finish.

I am trying to make my car become younger !

Combination with red and white is great and sporty since many f30 owners choose black/silver rims.

OP - Life would have been easier and it would have been a cleaner job if you had taken the grills out and put them back in

I beg to differ. With plasti-dip, it doesn't get easier than the route OP took.

Looks good... Love the Red.

While I think it is cool what was done, there is no chance in hell I'd paint anything like that on a car. The time involved in doing it right, is worth avoiding the damage done by doing wrong.

Those white rims are actually pretty neat! It reminds me of those older rally cars, like the Euro spec Ford Escort (used to have one myself, I loved that car)

plasti-dip is a good solution for temporary solutions IMO, Ive done it on my audi a ton, but theres something about taking it to a brand new bimmer that just makes me cringe a little, sorry OP, I respect for the short term but I'd make a more permanent solution to the problem

If I use the plasti dip to paint my chrome grills black will I be able to clean them off when I turn my car in at lease end?

Thats the whole point in plasi dip its removable. Put more coats like 4 so its thick and easier to remove. Also dont sand the chrome just clean it well.
