The ordering guide appears to indicate that you can get anthracite trim with the red or black accent. But the configurator on the BMW USA site forces aluminum accent only.

Any thoughts?

IMHO, they got this one right. The red would probably not look good and the black would be very dark especially w/ black seats. With the fine line anthractice (which looks very good in person-saw it on a Z-4) you need some contrast.

You can build it on configurator. The pearl gloss trim seems to matche the trim round the trans lever.

The anthractice is the wood trim option on sportline, the M sport has dark walnut.

Maybe not quite as sporty a look but I opted for it. AW 335 black/red trim seats, anth/pearl chrome. Adding sportline perf. brake handle ( $79) to bring a bit more color to interior.

I also ordered the anthracite wood trim in my 328i sport. I wanted a black highlight finish trim but you are correct you must get the pearl gloss chrome. My interior is black leather with the red piping trim. Wished I could do without all the red sticking.

There is less, but still some red stitching, on the leatherette.. Or all black if you went m sport.

Neither of which you should have to do just to get plain black seats.

any idea how simple it is to change out some of these parts? We'd like a matching blue accent line and perhaps changing out the wood (we bought a car off the lot, so didn't get to choose exactly what we wanted)
