weird sound in the gearbox - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

I've experienced a weird sound when i'm shifting the gear from N to D or D to N

its a very weird sound more like an electrical buzz...

any one experienced the same?!any advises?!

If its not the sound of belts and gears cracking or making a loud bang noise when shifting from P then its not a problem. I know we tend to over react when it comes to our cars, we want everything to be perfect!

Dont worry, rememer its an electronic shifter which means electric motors are involved in the shifts.
