Indeed. 609 is the same code number for the old/new navigation professional.

Mine says the same; I'd be happy if the new system were installed, but everything I've seen makes me think it is still the old system, at least until this November.

I made sure I was getting the old idrive software and my car arrives in November. The DVD while you drive will take a while to crack on the new system when you can activate it easily on the current software and dvd while you drive is handy for your passengers entertainment

I could have sworn when I did ED for my F30 on August 13th, that the guy said it had a 80GB hard drive. Also, in perspective mode it was 3-D and showed buildings and stuff... not sure what else is different with the new system?

I think the biggest improvement from my point of view would be the smooth scrolling. But the current idrive software is far better than any mass produced car in the market so even if we don't have the latest we still have the best. Profesional nav won me over in 2009. Just look at the Mazda CX9 system they have here in Australia it's a $70k car here and the screen in smaller than my iPhone. Other cars have touch screens and my god they get greasy quick with fingerprint marks on them. A 1 Tb or bigger hard drive would be nice and also xvid and H264 /MKV movie playback should be a future upgrade.
