M-Sport Order stuck in Production Begin - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

I ordered a new 335 M-Sport on July 21. Have been tracking the car's build online and for the past 2 weeks it's been stuck in Production Begins. Anyone else tracking or have tracked their car in the past... if so how long did it take?

the factory is closed from the august 10th to august 24th.

You got caught in the factory vacation. Mine did too. Things should pick up this week.

I ordered an M Sport and was told production was delayed, they swapped me out for one arriving sooner. I also read about 19" wheel option backorder? Any truth to that? I do have the 19"s....
In any case, I should take delivery tomorrow, cant wait!

You could have a few more weeks. My car entered production around 7/12 and according to the 1800 # at that time my car was due to complete build on 7/19. Until late last week there was no update on bmwusa's website. It always just showed production started and the 1800 # was "waiting to be released to carrier". I received an email late last week from my CA saying it's complete and now just waiting for a boat. website status has been updated too... so you could easily have another 2-3 weeks in that status.

for those stuck in the shut down like me...should pick up now, as of this morning I am in the body shop--status 151, first movement on this since 8/3...about damn time.

According to the 800# my car is due to finish production today 8/28. For the past two weeks and up to this morning all the 800# says is that my car is in the paint shop!
