Beautiful car. Seeing the pics from your trip brought back fond memories of our ED trip last fall. I'm definitely looking forward to the next time we're lucky enough to have the experience again. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome pictures man, every single one of them. That lake with the clear blue water must be famous because it seems like BMW uses it to show off all their new cars, especially the new Aplina B7.

If I'm not mistaken, earlier in the thread he said the cost was 590 Swiss francs, or about 600 US $$$.

You move fast! I remember discussing this with you back in Early June when you detailed the wood trim on my 550i!

Very cool trip. Great tip on Seissvax HQ. I might try to stop by Fallanden with my M5 when I take delivery in 3 weeks.

Awesome trip and awesome car. I am trying to convince my wife to go on a similar trip next year but she hated the one to Italy last year in our MINI.

Don't want to be rude but listening to music while doing laps on Nordschleife is awful. I was trying to hear the engine and tires but barely could because of the music.

I had the same scary experience driving around Como, probably some of the most nervous I've ever been behind a car. And I had a huge F11 haha.

THis brings back so many good memories from my trip. Congrats on the new car.

How's the 8-speed?

Is it really quick or just a glorified auto?

How about the difference in power with the M3.?

Love the Sport 8SPD Shifts amazingly fast, and has a slight burp inbetween shifts, kinda like a ferrari does when you upshift under WOT.

I had a 6Spd manual in the M3 and i have to say for me to go to an automatic took a lot of convincing!

The main factor that put me towards the auto was that in Sport + mode it acts as a fully manual transmission and won't upshift until you hit the paddle, it will sit there on the rev limiter.

The torque is there like the M3, but top end isn't the same...

IMO, the ZF8 shifts just as fast as DCT, but is a lot smoother at low speeds and more efficient.
