Hi guys. Need to know if I can get BMW Apps to work with my 6NH?

I have 6AA (BMW Teleservices), 6AB (Control Teleservices) and 6NH (hands-free facility with usb interface)

Do I need both 6NF (Smart Phone Integration) and 6NR *BMW APPS* or can I add the BMW APPS trough the dealer and it works with the 6NH?

from the US order guide notes:

"6NR will add 6NF to the order"

in Canada 6NF and 6NR are sold together as a package. Sounds like if you get 6NR you will also get 6NF included.

Here in Sweden it is like E34 says.

You can get 6NF as a stand alone (~$100).
Or you can add 6NR and get 6NF for "free". 6NR is ~$300.

Thanks for the replies. Meaning the 6NH won't work at all with the BMW Apps and 6NF is a must? The big question is how hard would it be for me to "swap" the 6NH for a 6NF or it's an add on module? I am also guessing in order to upgrade the screen from 6.5" to the original BMW 8.8" screen original BMW DVD/Radio, the 6NF is required along with other items?

If someone can post a list or if any vendor offers this package, please PM me as I am very interested on doing it. Mainly adding the 6NF to be able to have full connectivity/apps with my current 6.5" screen.

Since 6NR automatically adds 6NF I guess it is needed.

Sounds really weird. Maybe some kind of DNS-error at the moment. They ship worldwide so no reason to limit the countries that can view the page.

But at least you found a way to look at it.

Yes. I edited the previous post, but all good now. Bad news is he wrote "In order to retrofit the 6NR (BMW apps) and the Office you need to retrofit the CIC Professional with the bigger screen."

Looks like I am screwed. Time to speak with the sales man who sold me the car and maybe order another with all the stuff from the factory. There are even companies who can add GPS, DVD and even make the screen a touch screen, but not having the connectivity and functionalities from BMW is a bummer Sure I can add GPS, DVD, but I'd still have the 6.5" screen, missing apps etc ... sucks

In order to have BMW Apps, u must have 6NL (enhanced BT w/telematics) & 6NF (smartphone integration) plus professional nav.
If u want BMW Apps u'll need to retrofit a lot of stuff cos u have 6NH meaning there's no combox.

Office is standard on cars without nav for quite a few countries, but I think prerequisite is u must have 6NK/6NL as well.
Also, in EU, u can add BMW Live to cars without nav (cost 100 Euros in Germany). For this feature u only need 6NH.

I have BMW Live, but only options are weather, news feed (RSS) ... wonder if an update adds anything. Anyone?

Officially you need the 6NK or 6NL together with the 6NF to order/retrofit the 6NR.

Luckily BimmerTech can retrofit the 6NR even in cars with 6NH and without the 6NF
BMW dealership can't do it.

But you guys can do both 6NL (or 6NK) + 6NR in a car with 6NH? I'm just trying to get my head around this before I call up Alekshop to get this done.

Our cars in Hong Kong comes with 6NK right? Have you got a chance to figure out how to activate Office?

It might be easier if you just tell me what features you would like to get instead of option names.
If you want BMW Apps, BMW Plugin and video playback (6NR ConnectedDrive) then yes we can do it if your car has the Navigation and the 6NH.

- At the very least, I would like to have enhanced bluetooth + enhanced USB.
- BMW apps would nice if that is possible as well.

I guess I'm not clear on what is possible w/ the 6.5" screen.

Yes, we have 6NK & 6NF. My car isn't even on the ship yet, so I can only find out later.

I think the radio professional HU is different for cars with 6NH & those with 6NK/NL. The part numbers are different.
BMW apps is not possible without nav. The most u can do with no-nav 6.5" is BMW Live & office (if not already available for ur market).
