I think my car is sitting at the docks still, it's showing as Discharged on the WW site, Motorline expects that it'll be received by them around Wednesday so hopefully I can take delivery on Saturday afternoon.

Tempted to drive down to the holding yard and see if I can spot it... that's ok right?

I should change the title of this thread to "Order Tracking for Australia - helping ME manage the anxiety of the wait!"

Without going into too much detail, and to protect my accomplices, I found out that my car won't get to the dealer from pre-delivery until mid-late next week instead of this week. Bye bye, Friday delivery Had my detailer all lined up for the Opti-coat and leather treatment on Saturday morning too.

Fingers crossed I can take deliver on Friday week.

At least I can make the most of the long lunch one of the execs is throwing on Friday!

That's a bugger about the change in delivery.

I reckon the time waiting for it to be delivered to the dealer after leaving the ship, is worse than the actual trip from Durban!

Got a call from the Dealer yesterday. My 328 ready for delivery on monday. Wait almost over.

My car was scheduled for week 39 production and I have a VIN that shows that its stuck in production status 155.

Its been about a month now and i havent changed status nor can i track it on the shipping website...

sigh.. any suggestions?

Ah it will get updated once it hits the ship yard. Seems to be a system delay quite a few of the guys experienced it. Just make sure your build in the VIN is correct all should go smoothly

Many thanks for the link. Having ordered my 335i M-Sport in October 2012, I can see now that my car has just arrived in Melbourne..........21st Feb 2013.
Much of the delay is of my own doing as I wanted a 2013 build.

Now getting really excited about picking it up!!

So much for all this tracking technology. It all falls down once it is at the the car dealer. Supposedly the car is at the workshop but they cannot say when my car is ready for pickup.

I would have thought they deliver all the time and can estimate with a high degree of accuracy!

Allegedly the car arrives "dumb" and needs a few days of coding. Then there are safety checks and detailing.

They have had the car for a week!

Dont think i can trust this dealer workshop to service my car if this is the experience on delivery.

They do like to do checks and diagnostics. The car isn't exactly dumb but things like Navigation need activation. They also check the software is the latest, but it will be up to date most likely. My dealer said if it does need an update they often kick it off so it runs overnight, apparently a long process believe it or not. Mine was already the latest being a mid-Dec build with NBT.

A week is a long time.

Mine arrived into the dealer Tuesday morning, was groomed, software version checked, M Performance exhaust installed, and I popped in to inspect that afternoon. Then it went off to the painters to get the M Performance front lip, side sills, and rear splitter installed and painted. I picked up the car first thing on Friday morning.

If the dealer is really organised there is no need for it to take a week.
